I have watched both movies and enjoy them differently

Yes I have read the book many times.

I enjoy the book for I really LOVE my imagination and how I let it spring images that are incredible in my head

I do have to say The newer Gatsby is more of an extravaganza

I watched it not comparing bit with an open mind

Yes sometimes difficult to do, I wanted to see the vision of the director. As Exotic mentioned Baz is good love his imagination

I enjoyed it more as I continued to watch it. I love them both for different reasons

Too extensive to get into it

Keeping it real by being open to the Vision  thanks

it is a love story with the roaring 20s as the background.

I'm torn about whether to watch any of these movies or not.  I want to, but since it's a classic book I'd like to read the book first.

I think this movie is absolutely brilliant. I am talking about the original with redford.

general tented might like as it has a sad ending.

I think the movie is quite special. in addition to giving you a bit of a glimpse of the roaring 20s in America, this one makes for a love story of the highest order.

he never gives up on her.

I will catch the new one sooner or later.
