djokovic, ferru, and wawrinka march on in Bercy.

Rafa loses his doubles match. he wont get very far here in singles either. and that could be a good thing.

next knee issue is right around the corner unless he gets off these hard courts right away and just go work on his ground game on clay.

here are all the scores:

Djokovic said he was going to outwork everybody under the sun and he is.

and quite frankly that is what it takes in this sport now.

those willing to work the hardest will see the results. he is not only working the hardest, he is also working the smartest.

he is like a runaway freight train right now.

He'll be tough for sure General. He's a solid favorite.  In his section of the draw, I only see a possibility of Tsonga or Karlovic troubling him, and I don't think Karlovic will make it to the quarterfinal with Berdych and Tsonga in the way.  There might be a challenge from the other part of his half, in the Wawrinka/Rafa quarter but you never know how far Wawrinka is going to get, and Rafa isn't sure to go through on these courts.

Federer said in Basel that he was a little tired after the Goffin match after not playing much since the US Open, but then recovered a bit with Rafa, and said he felt ok.  But I have a feeling he is saving himself for the World Tour Finals.  I can't be sure of Murray, because he has been practicing on the clay for the Davis Cup final and I think his focus is there.  Maybe Nishikori is feeling good enough to take that half, but you never know when he is going to break down.  Ferrer is Ferrer.  If he makes it to the quarterfinal and Federer is there, bye-bye Ferrer.  But if Federer exits before that, he'll have his chances to make it to the final. He's won here before.

Respectfully,

djokovic himself says that he feels like he can win on any surface at any event.

it is going to be hard to stop him.

Doubles draw

Nadal playing with doubles legend Leander Paes.  Maybe Rafa is looking for a doubles title?

Among others, Andy Murray is playing with Colin Fleming and Tomas Berdych is playing with Radek Stepanek.

Who will snatch this?

Will Djokovic be ready?  Or is there a chance that he might not have a lot of motivation after going home and resting with wife, son, and family?

How's the draw look for your favorite players?

Don't fear commenting, everyone is welcome to give their opinion.  We don't shoot people down here at Camelot for their opinions.  We discuss like reasonable and respectful people.
