My love is like a red, red rose that's newly sprung in June.
My love is like a melody that's sweetly played in tune.
So fair art thou my bonnie lass.
So deep in love am I.
And I will love thee still my dear 'til a' the seas gang dry.

This is a favourite
It's 1 of my favourites too.

That's great, Clay. I think it was fun all along. I just couldn't come up with new stuff as I was concentrating on my longer pieces & needed inspiration myself.

Ye Flowery Banks

By  Robert Burns

Ye flowery banks o' bonie Doon,

         How can ye blume sae fair?

How can ye chant, ye little birds,

         And I sae fu' o' care?

Thou'll break my heart, thou bonie bird,

         That sings upon the bough;

Thou minds me o' the happy days,

         When my fause love was true.

Thou'll break my heart, thou bonie bird,

         That sings beside thy mate;

For sae I sat, and sae I sang,

         And wist na o' my fate.

Aft hae I rov'd by bonie Doon

         To see the wood-bine twine,

And ilka bird sang o' its luve,

         And sae did I o' mine.

Wi' lightsome heart I pu'd a rose

         Frae aff its thorny tree;

And my fause luver staw my rose

         But left the thorn wi' me.

Some of which were songs too. He was absolutely amazing as he managed to plough fields too with the help of some Clydesdales too, of course. That's why he had the nickname of the ploughman poet.

Beautiful
A man who shows that much passion and his love of equine beauty

He is admired by me as well

Love your passion Lady Ann
Look forward to connecting and would love to contribute

Thank you kindly
Divine

Thank you very much. He was very good. It's just I can't remember many of his poems as they are long. His songs were very good too. I also have to mentally translate them for myself before remembering his words so I forget some of his words before mentally translating them back into Scottish.

Scots wham Bruce has aften led.
Welcome tae thy gory bed.
Or tae victory.
Now's the day & now's the hour.
See amid proud Edward's power.
Chains & slavery.
