federer takes down chardy in 3:

Federer plays chardy next. I cant see him having any problems with chardy.
looks like Federer may snag both titles in Brisbane: singles and doubles.
here is the order of play:

Federer on fire in Brisbane. he tears up marinko 6-1, 6-1.

That's odd. They've only televised one of his matches, and that came on at 4 am, at least that's what TTC reported, but in the program guide it had the usual infomercials. I forgot he was at Brisbane at all.
-
Who's he playing next? Not a very strong field btw but it still has Hewitt who can potentially upset him if they meet and then Nishi perhaps?

Hewitt is shaking and baking in Brisbane.

Federer and mahut take on chardy and dimitrov. should be a good doubles match.
-
evidently roger had no issues at all against jarkko the sharko.
he removed jarkko from the facilities in straights.

affirmative general masterclass.
it will also help keep his net game sharp to some extent.
if he can serve big, return well, and keep his net game fine tuned, I look for him to have far better results in 2014.
-
Affirmative general hercules.
And Mahut and Federer got it done. They beat the doubles top seeds earlier today, 7-5, 7-6(5).
Highlights - 0:47 - 1:10 = sublime

Notice how in doubles, Federer returns quite differently. He's more aggressive and placement is more precise because it has to be. You can't block back floating returns in doubles and get away with it. Doubles also helps him work on his service placement, which is also very important in doubles. And of course, net play and reflex volleys and half volleys are also at a premium. One gets plenty of work with overheads as well. The main thing he has to bring back from his doubles game to singles is the return. He needs to be more aggressive on return when given the opportunity. So, as we've discussed, doubles helps Federer tune his game.
Respectfully,
masterclass

Federer has arrived in Brisbane.
lets get this party started. this event is finally here.
;D ;D ;D
-
nishikori just signed up Michael Chang as his coach.
I think nishikori's future is bright.
Chang can help him get to the next level.
-
I have high hopes for Kei Nishikori in 2014. If he can have a good start with a title in Brisbane would be great.

I will look around and see if I can get more info the field emma.
I will post it here tomorrow.
time is flying by. just a few days to go now.
-
I shared Dimitrov's happiness when he won his first ATP title. It was very sweet. Won't mind him winning here either. Who else is there? I must say I have yet to check out the field.
This was Andy's first title this year but he's not there to defend it.
-
morning lady Embla. glad you are feeling better and are out and about.
how is your son doing?
I am about to go out for a little while. will check in later.
embla feel free to start any number of threads you please anywhere. Camelot belongs to the people and the people can do whatever they please here.
I know we don't have many folks here but this is what building from scratch looks like. we will get a few more here once the new season begins. we are just too new.
the word will get around sooner or later.
I also would like to get a retired pro or two here. I have been working on Pat Cash but no luck so far.
-
Good morning to you too Clay Death!
-
morning embla, general masterclass, emma, baron, general tee, thetruth, general swordtennis, CETSVids, and all the others.
dimitrov army is growing at Camelot folks. we will all cheer for him in Brisbane.
-
I am cheering for Grigor too.
Tennis needs some younger players to breakthrough.
-
Grigor reached the final last year. I am hoping for the title in 2014 ;)
-
Sharapova and Serena will be there too!
Would absolutely love if Sharapova do good there.
