Title: Re: Rising Stars Of Tomorrow
Post by: Clay Death on November 19, 2013, 06:08:29 am
lets start a list of rising stars of tomorrow. I will fire off the first shot and then we will keep adding to it as we discuss them along the way.

Pablo Carreno Busta

From the ATP site:

"Named Most Improved Player of the Year in November 2013…The Spaniard climbed from a year-end No. 715 Emirates ATP Ranking last season to a career-high No. 66 in 2013, beginning with an impressive effort on the Futures circuit that saw him win 35 straight matches and seven titles from eight finals. As a qualifier on the ATP World Tour, he recorded his first tour-level win in Casablanca, reached the Oeiras SFs and made his Grand Slam debut at Roland Garros. The 22 year old also excelled on the ATP Challenger Tour, going 4-0 in finals…"

that is an unbelievable climb up the ladder in such a short time.

and he has the youth on his side. I was cheering for him when he was playing the Casablanca event. there is no question he is a winner general tented.

we will have to keep an eye on  him in 2014.

He also need some help to reserve his energy better.. He must hurry as he is not very young.

I just came across his facebook page. if you scroll down, you will see his coaches:  Kim Tiilikainen and Piotr Grabig.

JJ (jerzy) has all the weapons and he has the desire/hunger.

it will be one of the best stories in tennis if he can capture Wimbledon one day.

his time may be coming. he has to get ready for it. much better fitness and better coaching will get him there.

Did you see Dustin Brown in Wimbledon this year? He was the sweetheart there this year. Got very popular. He has been traveling around in a Camping car playing tennis. He has dreadlocks and is german-jamaican mix. Pretty cool!

he must be an inspiration to the millions after his success at Wimbledon this year.

his story is compelling considering his humble beginnings. glad he secured a few deals after Wimbledon.

I think he can win Wimbledon one day with that game. he has to make major progress in the next 2 years and then the sky will be the limit.

Agree!! His potential is huge!!  It looks like he needs better coaching.
His history in polish tennis is touching. The tennis federation there is not the best.

Not often a guy with that talent  arrives on courts. He never had a coach like Rafa, or the money to travel a lot. (Maybe now...) tennis is everything for him. It really shows in interviews.
