TIDBITS ON THE TOP 50

http://www.atpworldtour.com/News/Tennis/2013/12/51/2013-Players-Nuggets-Nadal-Djokovic.aspx

(I listed the ones most talked about, and of course, some of my personal favorites to watch).

NADAL, Rafael (1) – Ranked in the Top 5 the longest of any active player (since 9 May 2005) and owns 60 career titles, second-best among active players (Federer, 77).

BERDYCH, Tomas (7) – The Czech Republic No. 1 finished in Top 10 for fourth year in a row and helped his country to win the Davis Cup title.

DJOKOVIC, Novak (2) – Only player to finish in the Top 3 for the past seven years. He has won the most titles (25) and matches (219; avg 73) in the past three years.

FEDERER, Roger (6) – Has 923 career match wins, fourth-most in Open Era, and has finished in the Top 10 for past 12 years.

FERRER, David (3) – Finished in the Top 5 past three years (along with Djokovic, Nadal, Murray).

HAAS, Tommy (12) – The No. 1 German has won ATP World Tour titles in three different decades and finished No. 12, his highest since 2007.

MURRAY, Andy (4) – Finished in the Top 4 for the past six years, joining Nadal (9) and Djokovic (7). Ranked No. 2 for 17 weeks in 2013 (21 overall in career).

RAONIC, Milos (11) – Top Canadian became first player born in 1990s to break into the Top 10 and has reached 10 ATP World Tour finals (5-5), the youngest player to accomplish this feat. He has averaged 40.3 match wins past three seasons (best of any player outside the Top 10).

SOUSA, Joao (49) – First Portuguese player to win an ATP World Tour singles title and finish in Top 50 (at No. 49).

I love that site.

I always forget to go there, though.
