he has to be a strong follower of Rafa to be that good. he has studied Rafa's every move.
he can even hit a topspin forehand like Rafa.
too good. this guy must be a huge Rafa fan too.
thanks for sharing the video princess maria.
he is really good.
Camelot and the great RAFA Nation at Camelot stands united for Rafa forever and ever.
In this interesting interview Rafa is very honest as always... but he is also very affectionate.

...Because of these things, and these attitudes that I'm sure I never had an idol like him before. And I think I'll never have another idol like him for the rest of my life. Rafa is simply incomparable. Rafa is unique.
He is, isn't he? So darn open and honest.
There is no one like Rafa!
What a great human being.

This is a recent interview of our Rafa:
Well dear heart, I am going to stick with Portuguese, since that's your language. I thought you spoke Spanish, but I don't want to put you out in any way, but thanks for translating it.
About the icons, there's one that says applaud (clap) and smite (kill). But, when I clicked applaud it sent me to email? I'm going to keep looking at it too and try to figure it out.
No problem, my dear, will be an honor.
I'm also trying to learn Spanish because of Rafa, then we can learn together.
And maybe you can't imagine, but you help me a lot here to learn more English. I'm afraid to write something wrong, so I'll guide me always by your texts. Thank you infinitely.
And it will be great fun to discover what exists through our icons :)
Learning Spanish because of Rafa. I'm game.
Your English is pretty good. I can't imagine being on a Portuguese tennis forum. I don't know how I can help you, unless I write something that you don't understand and I will tell you in simpler terms, or if you don't understand things that are symbols in our culture.
This will be fun. I used to have a German pen pal for several years and didn't learn a dang thang, except for danke shein? which meant thank you.
This time I will do better.
You are simply hilarious. :)
I really love your writing, because it has a simple way... So it's totally understandable.
I always look the way you wrote as a basis for structuring my sentences, it becomes much easier to use verbs, pronouns and adjectives.
And, of course, will be great to learn more about their culture. I'll love it.
Well, I'm trying, but I know that sometimes it is difficult to avoid some errors. I'm sorry...
Ah! And "thank you" in Portuguese is: "Obrigada" (for us women, the female response) and "Obrigado" (for men, male response).
So,
Thank you my dear = Obrigada minha querida :)
Obrigada, that's a very pretty word. I like it.

Thanks, this is helping me with my Spanish. I picked up three words: America, Istomin, and Rafa.
Also, I was playing around with the icons under our names (I had never noticed it before) and I may have sent you an empty email, or not. I don't know what happened.
hahaha... I'm sorry my friend. I understand a bit of Spanish language, because it has some similar words to the Portuguese language.
...but I'll try to translate some things he said:
Rafa said feels good in Miami because has followers and thus feel happy and comfortable in the tournament . He says that winning is your goal. So he wants to keep playing in order, in control, with the motivation and confidence to accomplish chances of winning .
When asked about the favoritism, he says doesn't feel favorite... Rafa just wants to keep playing at a good level, because just getting to the final stage can be considered as one of the favorites for the title.
He also admires and praises all the history and trajectory of Stomin in tennis, to keep fighting and loving this sport .
About his back, Rafa feels better because he is no longer in pain and limitations as happened in Australia and Rio... So he can serve better, perform normal and natural gestures effortlessly.
In percentage terms, Rafa is amused and says it is impossible to define in numbers, but admits to playing with one hundred percent of your current potential.
About surgery Del Potro, Rafa wishes a good procedure, a good recovery and return to him.
***********
And now I'm really curious about your playing with our icons, I need to see this immediately!!!! I'll try to find it ;)

Totally! This is what I think also, I just wanted to have a bit of Rafa mentality. I swear my friend, I think just like you.

I think that's why people love him. He's human like us. His traits are achievable so we can do it too.
That's right my friend! He isn't worried about being God, he just wants to be human.
Yep. There's enough big egos around. That's what makes him so refreshing. It's why I like Murray too. I can't stand egotistical people.

This is a flashback about sleeveless Rafa.
It's a delight to read and relax on Friday. :)
And the best line: "Nike did make it up to us, we may not have sleeveless shirts anymore, but we have short shorts."
:D :D :D I really had fun reading it, because is simply so much cuteness :P
http://t.co/IyE2CSD1gr
I saw that too, and was going to post it.
I did love the pirate look. So revolutionary and unique. Some others tried cough, cough (Monfils, Haas, and Russell), but it just wasn't the same, LOL!
I just loved your comment TT, "I did love the pirate look. So revolutionary and unique. Some others tried cough, cough (Monfils, Haas, and Russell), but it just wasn't the same, LOL!" hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhaha!!! This is perfect!!!!!!
...Equally refreshing and hilarious. I agree with every word that you posted.
And we can be crazy my friend... because we love Rafa! Very, very, very so much! ;))))))) :)
Tis' true my friend. Rafa has touched my heart like no other. I wish I had a tenth of his qualities, like perseverance, hope, optimism, and work ethic. It's about more than a sport, it's whether or not an athlete has qualities I desire for myself, and Rafa fits the bill very nicely.

at some large forums people find it acceptable to wish Rafa injury and even death.
and they never stop calling him and his uncle names. that is just pathetic.
this is why we founded Camelot. now people can support their players without the fear of endless attacks and insults and harassment.
It's bad enough that some posters are so immature and filled with hatred, but I think it actually says more about the administrators who allow it to happen.
I don't understand how a business entity would allow their name to be dragged in the mud that way.
It's a bad reflection on their name, but they obviously don't care about that part.
Really Lady TT...
People who allow all this insanity find support to exist and spread like weeds, are the most disgusting.
Yeah, I wonder about people like this. How must they feel in their everyday life? I don't get why one would want to have such a dark heart.

This is awful...
...but one day this evil and negative energy will turn against them... Simply because this is the law of the universe.
So sooner or later everything we do to the world and to others, we will receive... No way escape from it.

I don't know tennis fans are so horrible. Maybe they get too emotionally involved, but the hatred and unwarranted attacks, are still mind-boggling.
I don't understand why a person can't like Player A or B without constantly trashing the other player, or person.
I don't give it a thought who someone else likes, in fact, I'm glad that all of the players have someone who roots for them,
Can't wrap my head around the thought that someone liking someone other than my player presents a problem.
Perfectly Lady TT... I also think the same way... but maybe I impressed myself a little more with the comments in tennis because the attacks are made directly to the player and not the team.
...Another difference I see is that many people severely attacking style of play, ranking one as tennis and the other as antitennis. And this is totally ridiculous... Just because they don't possess this power.
People are weird. I don't care who likes what. The fact that we all have different tastes is a good thing because it allows the world to have a greater variety of tastes and interests.
How horrible would it be, if because I didn't like something it was eliminated?
That's the attitude that so many people display, and they don't realize how silly it is.
It's cool if you don't like Rafa, but how is that supposed to affect me? I may not like something that you like, but I don't understand why I would have the need to tell you that.
This mindset is interesting to me, yet fascinating. I don't get it, do you?

i try to daily. There is so much to learn from him. The positive attributes are endless. Learning to be humble, working hard, constant improvement, enjoying life, love of family, just so many things.
I never invest in anything that doesn't bring me enrichment, and watching Rafa has truly enriched my life!
Perfect analysis TT. I totally agree with all this! because I also have the attitudes of Rafa as an example to the situations in my life.
The last thing I learned from him was that I need to consider myself a happy person... because we have bad days in our lives, but there are many other people who have bad days every day of their lives.
Yes, and this is the reason why we never think too highly of ourselves, because our fortunes can change in a second. I love Rafa's attitude and game, but it's his attitude first and foremost that draws me in.
It's true TT, I also like to have that intelligence, concentration, balance, strength and positivity to find solutions in times of pressure as has Rafa on court.
...And in moments of pain as the final of the Australian Open this year... Rafa was just an example of humility and respect to all... remembering that not everyone was respectful to him that sad day.
Great post, maria. Rafa has been nothing but nice to others, and like the horrible people that many are, they have constantly returned evil for good.
You get used to it, but it's really sad the state of people's hearts.
Certainly TT... And I'll confess something to you... That I've always been a football teams fan... but I had never seen anything like the rivalry between some tennis fans.
...Because the reviews they use to destroy others is very cruel... And Rafa is the main target of these cowards, but it will not hit him, because he is strong.

Thanks for sharing the highs and lows of Rafa.
That's why we love him.
He lets us in.
He doesn't try to be perfect.
He succeeds at being human.
That is his gift.
This is my simple tribute to Rafa for your exciting stay at the Rio Open - Brazil! ;)
