A lot of Scottish songs are based on tragic times in Scotland's past. Some Scots/Irish songs are that similar that Scots/the Irish argue amongst themselves whether they are Scottish/Irish. At 1 time bagpipes were played throughout Britain. Now only Northumberland & Scotland have them.

wow. I was not aware of that Ann.

Definitely. If you listen carefully to some, you will find out. I can tell you the stories behind some if you like.

Definitely, if you listen carefully to them, you'll find out. I could tell you some of the stories behind some. I absolutely adore the sound of bagpipes too. They're my favourite musical instrument.

Hello Lady Jenny! I had a quiet, but nice day. Thank you very much. I went shopping earlier & there were sales on eyeshadow that were too good to miss. I've got lots already but got myself another set & 3 individuals. How has your day been? Thank you very much for the beautiful flowers. I can tell you my favourite flowers inspired Wordsworth to write his most famous poem. Enjoy your weekend!

Hello Lady EquineAnn,
I did have a nice, relaxing day as well. I have so much make-up, but can never pass up a good sale either :) I do not wear it often, but it is nice to have when I want to look better haha.
My favorite flower is a daisy; I absolutely love them! We are taking my boys to an amusement part tomorrow, weather permitting, so it should be a great weekend! Hope yours is as well.

I wear make-up almost everyday. I used to do nail art on myself but have got out of the habit. That sounds great. Enjoy yourselves. I'm shopping again tomorrow.

I am a recovering make-up addict haha! But really, I used to wear it every day, all day (and night). Now I do not have much time so my make-up routine has simplified a bit :)
Have fun shopping tomorrow! And nail art sounds fun! Do you do that for anyone else, or have you stopped all together?

I mainly do it for myself but at the moment I can't decide what I want to do as I've got that many different nail polishes/nail wraps/nail stickers & nail gems I'm spoilt for choice.

That is a talent to have! I am lucky if I can paint my nails without getting the polish on my skin :)

My colors are usually simple; red, pink, coral, orange/red, pearl....depending on the season.

Until 5 years ago I used to bite my nails. I gave up & decided to do something with them. I had a go & people say they look lovely & ask me who did them for me. They even said they looked better when I did them than when I had them done professionally for my holiday. They peel a lot though as I'd bitten them all my life before then & I'm 33. I've used all different nail hardeners, peeling & brittleness solver & vitamin & mineral nail varnishes to help. They can only do so much. I guess I can only carry on using them & wait & time will heal the damage.

That is a great compliment!
I had the same problem, nail biting. I am 34 and have, for 6 years or so, been wearing a no-bite polish under my nail polish to help deter the bad habit. They are quite fragile, and like yours, they chip/peel easily. Nothing has helped me yet.

I stopped biting my nails because they started tasting horrible. So there is still some hope for you. :0)
