Reality avoidance,
seeking supernatural transcendence
gears squeal into motion
tendons twitch beneath the skin
whispered words.....I remember them,
Sleep stands silently...waiting
with loving eyes she watches me
awaiting my transition
a metamorphosis
from man to machine
and so the end begins...
I am reborn!

Thank you my friends, the idea for this cut was part of my concept album about how our minds see our lives as images or sequences of events, Sleep is alive here. The idea hit me, so I wrote 3 sections of 5 sings each, evolving through each piece..., I'm honored and will share more later..

a synaptic response...
they're in the darkness
the answers reaching out for me
adrift on an empty sea;...
at last I am...a soulless entity
and now I'm alone!

sharing secrets of a lifetime
flames beyond desire...so hard to hide
she's my eternity
unbreakable,
this lust that's killing me. ..

Shattered pieces are all I am;
burning tears come pouring down
a sin amongst the shadows
it's all I am....
a corridor of secrets
playing on rewind,
and tears come pouring down
across skin so cold;
another painful nightmare
taking hold....demonized
and so the story is told...

battered,...my shell is aflame
distant moans fill the air
voices....lips split in despair
shadows dance and twist perverse
eyeless entities
lost in hypnotic verse
shattered
I'm chained....obscene
