i can understand the power he generated off his running forehand. the technique was near flawless and he was strong as hell.
i did not see any weakness off his backhand wing. he could go over the ball with spin. or he could drive it with just sheer pace.
and he could slice it.
Compared to his other strengths like the serves, running forehand, slam dunks, volleys etc., his backhand was relatively weak. In other words it wasn't a killer shot that it could have been. Federer has a better one handed backhand however, no one could take advantage of Pete's backhand in the way Nadal took against Federer's.
