Agree with your sentiments on the match up Clay. Oh well it started I think because I could see he had a bit of an edge. Tim Henman was a fine ambassador for British tennis but here came Andy with all his emotion and it was easy to connect to. I also quickly thought he was misunderstood and the media latched on to certain throwaway remarks of his. He is essentially a quiet, but very driven guy with a wry sense of humour.  I have met him briefly and he was lovely and patient with me. A fine guy and great tennis player.

I see.

so you have seen him in person already.

I forget that that he plays in Toronto every other year. he will be there this year.

lets hope for the best for Andy for the rest of the year.

Cincy is the closest tournament from where you live? You're kidding?

I can sit in the Cincy tournament's lap, that's how close I am.

No wonder we get people from Detroit, Chicago, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, and W. Virginia.

I will remember to count my blessings. Every year I get to see both the ATP and the WTA.

I had forgotten how sparsely located professional tennis tournaments are.
He who? Andy? It's a Masters tournament, why would he play every other year? Unless you mean the tournament itself that plays every other year in Toronto?

That would be correct, so this year, the men will play in Toronto while the women will play in Montreal. I wish though they had the men always in Toronto but alas.

And yes, I have seen Andy in person already back in 2010. I missed 2008 because that year the tournament played in Montreal. Also missed 2012 because Andy withdrew after playing just his first match. He was exhausted from winning the Olympics and making the Wimbledon final for the first time, so didn't get a chance to see him.

that is what I meant. he will be in Toronto this year and in Montreal the following year.

I have not even been able to make it to cincy which would be closest from me here on the gulf coast. i need to go see some of these players in person before they are all retired from the atp circuit.

you are lucky to be living in Toronto. you can get to see the top players right there.

Don't know what happened to my post. I reposted it somewhere else. I think.

andy and rafa get along well. they have immense respect for each other.

I think rafa was the first player to call andy to congratulate him after that gold medal win.

by most accounts andy is the most down to earth chap on the atp circuit.

I know I am a huge fan of andy murray.

Oh yes spot on regarding Rafa. Takes a good guy to know another one and I am not surprised he and Andy are friends as they are both genuine, humble guys. Always love when they talk fondly of each other. Out of all the sportsmen who have won everything in their chosen sport, Rafa is the most humble guy ive ever seen. So easyfor him to be arrogant but hes not.

Rafa gets abused like there is no tomorrow at some of the larger tennis forums but then what are to expect from the legless, toothless, hate riddled trolls.

tennis warehouse and MTF are notorious for blindly hating Rafa. they used to hate Nole and his family even worse at MTF if that is possible.

I might add that Andy does not get much respect at tennis warehouse and at MTF either.

this is one of the reasons we have Camelot. we think hate is just a wasted emotion and a huge waste of valuable time and energy.

we tend to look at the bright side of things at camelot.

we are still relatively new.

it will take some time but I think we will hit our stride sooner or later. we just have to get the word out.

this place is clean, positive, uplifting, and respectful to all.

we have a center for children here and we have the presence of God and religion here.

nobody bothers anybody around here. people come and go as they please and we all just tend to do our own thing.

it is always a please when we all can chit chat a little bit here and there.

Yes no discrimination policy is always great and appropriate.  Well im glad to be part of this journey then at a relatively early stage and I hope we can see it grow together.  I will try to encourage some others to join too.

thanks so much for your help and for your vote of confidence for Camelot.

it means a lot to all of us.

emma stays pretty busy but I know she is delighted to have a fellow andy murray fan chilling at her café.

if there is a subject or field that you wish to pursue here or if you just want to have your own place, all you have to do is ask and it will be done. we will be glad create your very own board/place for you. and it is no work at all. it takes less than 10 seconds.

that is another cool feature of Camelot. folks can have their own places. it makes them feel more at home and more welcome. it also gives them an opportunity to create, build, and add engaging content if they so desire. it is just nice having endless freedom and autonomy.

check this fact out: there are zero rules and zero guidelines at Camelot. this way people are free to be themselves.

we are all different and accordingly, we all like to be able express ourselves and just be ourselves.

Watching Ferrer/Kukushkin. Ferrer grunting pretty bad. I really think it's getting worse and peculiar. Not sure how long I can watch this.

But on serve, 1st set.
