Hi herc, I am okay with any change as long as it remains more tennis related. For that reason, I'd rather have Camelot Tennis World at the top (and perhaps you can move the Camelot Welcome Centre from Emma's World to Camelot Tennis World) and move CETSvids Global Tennis Vidoe Centre move right after and Keep Emma's World in the 3rd section. Also, since you have moved some other threads to Emma's World, perhaps the name can change to Camelot's World or something. I am fine with it. Maybe you can change the name of Emma's Cafe to Emma's World on the Home page and that way Emma's Cafe still remains under Emma's World.
Also, Camelot's Multi Purpose Centre can be combined and have only the most active ones on the Home page. Others can be under those ones. Just a few suggestions.
affirmative. we do need to make some changes as you are seeing.
we had way too many boards. unfortunately people don't always like changes as they are uncomfortable for them to some extent.
so changes have to be deliberate and incremental.
even in nature there is no such thing as a sudden jump.
we have no more than 4-5 people posting here now. we will have nobody here if we make any drastic and sudden changes.
oh well. it is what it is. no worries emma darling.
so we will be down to just 2: you and me like it has always been. we will just start over.
there is a Chinese proverb that goes something like this:
fall down 7 times. stand up 8 times.
I am sure it does not translate well in English. sounds so simple but so true. failure consists only in no longer trying.
I did put most of the talk shows in your department. something had to be done. we really cant have 300 different boards. this might work out well in the long run as it will be simpler and so much easier and faster to visit each other's boards.
some people on twitter told me that they did not know what to do and that the board was too complex. well we are trying to streamline and make it cooler.
I was thinking about Andy the other night and his essential debacle at serving a more consistent serves - both 1st and 2nd and I realized one thing but let me give you the background first. Quite apparently, his 1st serve suffers when he is not feeling confident and we all know his 2nd has always been his biggest liability.
If you pay attention you will see that his return game is one of his most consistent strengths regardless. At least 90% of the time it's very consistent and it does not follow any specific pattern neither does it lack confidence, even when he's coming off an injury or in the midst of it etc. etc. etc. It's there like one of the 5 pillars in Islam and never really breaks down as a whole.
So why this very guy suffers from a fragile mentality and lacks confidence when it comes to the service department and yet his return game seems to stay intact regardless? Why does his confidence vary between his own weapons? I realized that it's only because it's the way he has modeled his game while growing up watching Agassi a bit much if I am to be honest. Now I know most British people hate 'servebots' and they hated Sampras and adored Agassi in the 90s. And frankly, Andy is no different than those. In fact, I will go on record and say that most of the British players will be like Andy in the future and will focus far more on the return game than the service game. And it will not give them or produce a player who will break all records or at least half of them set by Sampras, Laver, Federer etc.
Because, as much as they hate it, best service game will always trump best return game. This is actually one of the great reasons why Americans are so much more successful in general than the British, because they tend to focus on the right weapon - a weapon that is effortless and yet most effective. I mean look at Federer - the main reason he's still in top ten and still going strong is because he wins a lot of cheap points off serve and it keeps him alive for a longer period of time in a tournament even at this stage. It's also one of the prime reasons why he's a very successful player on tour. So unless and until Andy has a change in his mindset about the serves, it will be always very frustrating to watch him in general and watch him get broken umpteenth times. At least both Nadal and Nole can offer a far more consistent and effective sets of serves.
emma he (andy) may just be having some minor back issues still. it is affecting his play and his confidence.
I think I would have to agree about his return: it is probably top 4 or top 5 all time. that is how good his return is.
I changed the order a little bit. lets see how it goes. some will like and some wont.
still as you and general masterclass have suggested, it is tennis that binds us all.
even thought we end up talking tennis at our various shows (chat threads) also among other things, we may as well try to highlight and suggest to the world that we are about tennis.
so accordingly 3 tennis centers are now at the top.

Nothing's affecting him right now other than his own self, herc. It's not like Andy tends to sweep the floor with titles at this time of the year anyway.
But given that he's not playing MC and decided to concentrate on DC tells me his priorities are not with these tournaments anyway.
Anyway, my assessment has nothing to do with his recent performance but in general. Andy always struggles with his serves and gets broken even when he is totally into a tournament.
I was not aware of that. I did not know that Andy was not playing monte carlo.
he really needs to get on the clay for a while and get his ground game and his confidence going in the right direction.
that is exactly what nadal needs as well. clay will fix all that ails these guys.
clay will also strengthen them a bit physically.
He thinks it will be a bit much to play back to back tournaments so he wants to concentrate on DC right now so that they can beat Italy and then play Switzerland on their home soil. I think he wants to win DC this year. I said it before right after they beat US on their home soil that, I saw a very Murray there - more motivated and consistent. So this sure feels like on the card along with defending Wimbledon.

You can't please them all, herc but please do what you think will benefit the forum in general. I am okay with anything you feel right.
I see you've made the changes. Maybe you can change the name of Emma's World as well since there are others' threads there?
How about Camelot's Off Topic World?

I see what you are saying.
lets think about this one since I have tried to make "Emma's world" famous around the web already.
in other words, people can google "Emma's world" and it pulls up.
Emma's world is a big draw for us. you can just take a look at the views. we will hit 20,000 views in a few days.
Oh okay, leave it as it is then. I am fine with it.
the most important thing is that everybody still has their very own board/boards.
it is a bit of a pride of ownership. people still do their own thing here. that is what allows the creativity to enter into the picture.
we all need our independence and our autonomy to run free.
freedom is the oxygen of the soul.
Looks like Miami draws are out.
I am not hoping much for Andy but here is his draw:
R2: Ebden/Kubot
R3: López
R4: Tsonga/Kohli
QF: Nole
SF: Ferrer/Fed
And in the final, he may face Rafa.
Very tough from the round 4 and on.
I am not even sure what Rafa is doing here in Miami.
he should have lost to 35 year old stepanek in his very first match in Indian Wells. he is playing horrible tennis.
I am sure it was because of the commitment he made to them (Miami Masters). and also the huge appearance fee.
he did not serve for 10 days after Rio. I think he goes out pretty quickly in Miami at the rate he is going.
he needs to go strengthen his back and also get on the red clay ASAP.
If Nadal goes out early in Miami then I don't think much harm will be done. And if he makes a deep run, I still don't feel there will be any harm done. Clay season is just around the corner after all.
did you know that Andy owns a condo in downtown Miami.
I bet it is really nice. probably something like a 5 bedroom condo in a gated community with plenty of security.
