I will post the order of play for tomorrow when I get home.
Hi Clay yes you had faith in Andy and he didnt let you down. Giraldo another good player who goes after the ball so Almagro good preparation for that. Andy looks really up for it this week though.
Thanks. Yes key part of season coming for Andy. This stretch can decide if its a good year or not. Ironic then that he has no coach to guide him yet but he showed again today that he is smart enough to win tough matches by himself.
I am expecting andy to win queens and then to set the sails for the Wimbledon crown.
that is why a few match wins on clay will go a long way. I don't know how far he can go here but we still have Rome and RG.
so there is a chance for Andy to win quite a few matches.
clay will help his ground game.
how do you see Andy faring tomorrow anikh, emma?
Santiago giraldo has been doing well as of late but Andy is in another league.
I just cant see Santiago derailing Andy.
Yes being realistic Queens offers his first chance of title. Now keeping eye on my NBA team Pacers. Getting nervous near end of their playoff match.
I have similar feeling to today Clay. If Andy is on his game he is better player than Giraldo but Giraldo is in the form of his life so Andy cannot be sloppy. Again needs to be the aggressor because Giraldo not afraid to strike if ball is short.
Santiago giraldo is a great player. he has the ability to take the ball early off both wings.
i think andy's versatility and his movement will help him win this match.
andy is very crafty on the court.
I am glad almagro match is out of the way. now andy has a match under his belt.
rafa and roger are headed to halle, Germany this year.
so andy does not have to deal with them on grass until Wimbledon. I fully expect andy to snatch the queens title.
does anybody have any additional info about the queens event? who are some of the others competing there? I know Tsonga usually plays queens.
magnus norman would have been a good coach for andy. too bad he is already taken.
I don't like larry stefanki. he has outlived his use.
On a second thought and second look, I am convinced Andy tanked the 2nd set so that they would move to the final set. Mind you, there was not much tennis played in the 1st set since Almagro was just spraying errors all over the court. And Andy broke him again in the first game of the 2nd set. After that Andy got broken 3 times in the same set to lose it. A bit much perhaps? Anyway, I do think Andy wanted to play more against Almagro and didn't want to end things too quickly. And Almagro is a really good clay courter, someone you'd want to play against in a real match, especially if your clay game is not as much effective. Anyway, the 3rd set was better and more competitive but Andy held from 15-40 down and while struggled a bit holding his own as Almagro put a lot of pressure, he was able to hold each of his service game despite struggle. And took the opportunity in the 10th game to finish Almagro off and take the match. That's my second assessment of things. Please give it like or dislike. haha

And Nadal and Federer won't have to deal with Andy, innit. It's not like if Andy faces each of these players, he'll lose. We don't know the outcome but when it comes to grass and you look at the recent results, you have to favour Andy - not by a big margin but still.

Giraldo might be playing a bit better tennis lately I am sure but Andy does have 2 wins over him and on clay. I still think some work is cut out for Andy here as well but I do expect him to win. Andy's real test lies in the next match though I don't want to think ahead and jinx Andy, but both Kubot and Agut can be a handful - especially Agut will be real dangerous so I'll be leaning towards Kubot to win vs Agut. On top of that, Andy hasn't played any of these players before, so while both of these players are very familiar with Andy's game, Andy hasn't got clue about theirs. So he'll do himself a favor if he finds some time and tape the match and watch it tonight.
