Good to see you here, darling baron. Don't be a stranger now. :)

I see Nikki was here too not so long ago. I'll have to go back and read all the posts since then. Would like to see how things are with her so far. She's such a darling. Too bad that guy doesn't realize that. Hopefully it won't be too late for him if and when he does.

and how about Greece:

Incredible. The whole Europe is something else. I just can't get enough of it. Of course I am fan of the whole world.

You know that Sampras' parents are originally from Greece? His mum is off true spartan descent. That's why Sampras looks so Spartan.

Hey guys, I am so sorry to go away like that but it wasn't anything planned or intentional. It was more like I wanted to focus more on Andy at the FO and one thing led to another and then thing I know, I got real lazy about posting. If you could believe that.

Sorry to scare you guys like that. I didn't fall seriously sick or ....gasp! committed suicide or just plain died all of a sudden. Just got plain lazy instead.

So lazy that now I am finding it really hard to put a few sentences together. Thoughts are random and scattered.

Anyway, yes, Anikh I know it's my cafe but you see that's the reason why I don't and will never own a business since it's such a big responsibility! I am like a bird, a highly spiritual being if you will and I'd like to fly away whenever I want. :)

That's why marriage, relationship etc. they don't work for me at all. I am terrible at it!

Forgive me though if I had caused any concern. Didn't mean to at all. I did enjoy FO, Wimbledon and of course, the World Cup! Was really pleased for Nole and Germany. Though I was more rooting for Netherlands, you know, always the bridesmaid but oh well. But I was an equal supporter of Germany as well and that game against Brazil was probably the greatest soccer match I've ever seen! Such beautiful attack and finishing by the key players. It was breathtaking from a strictly soccer fan point of view.

Glad to hear that all's well. We are a small but very caring community and we miss the lynchpins of our organization when they go MIA. I understand your bird tendencies as they fit well with your personality, but maybe we can have a respite thread, where we can just check in and say, all's well I'm too busy, ill, or (heaven forbid) planning a wedding, ha ha ha.

Glad you're back.

Oh yes, I have some good news. I am indeed going to Rogers. Can't wait! I have tickets for Wednesday (2nd round day session) and Friday (for the qtr-finals). I am also going on Monday as it's a holiday for us here in Canada (Civic Day), so I'd rather hangout on the outside courts than do anything else. But Monday is not highly finalized yet.

It's been a lovely summer so far. Like you guys, I am spending a lot of time on the beach. I am going again this Saturday. I was on vacation too. Hope you guys are having fun too.

Darling TT, nice to see you here. Hope you enjoyed the song. It's a very lovely and moving song with great meaning.

I did. Love songs that speak to the soul.

Oh before I forget, congratulations on Rafa's 14th! He's now finally matched Sampras' record. I do think he's 9 RGs are greater than his 14 Slams. It's quite a feat and not sure if it will be ever matched.

You guys must be over the moon! I am genuinely very happy for you. Though it hurt a great deal to see Nole lose yet another final but then his Wimbledon win filled up that void later. He so badly needed that. I did feel sorry for Federer and his tear did make me a bit emotional, because you know, I never enjoy seeing anyone cry, especially if they really want something so bad. But he's a big guy so I am sure he got over it by now. Besides, he has plenty Slams in his pocket already so it's not a true heartbreak. Nole was the better player and had the toughest road and he played the final equally well despite the 4th set choking, so he deserved it all.

I am not sure though if Federer is playing to win more Slams to secure his place in history a bit more or if he's looking for an opportunity to go out like Pete. I guess time will tell.

Very happy that Nole and Jelena finally tied the knot. Very happy moments for Nole. Don't think Andy  was there given the recent circumstances.

Andy's qtr-final loss to Dimitrov was heartbreaking I must admit as I did not see that coming in million years. I was able to see all his previous matches live (all four of them) and I know how well he was playing, so it was really surprising to see him lose in straight sets on his favourite surface at Wimbledon to Dimitrov. A loss to Nole would have made more sense. There were a lot of speculations about something going wrong a few minutes before the match, and if that indeed happened, then it's really sad that Andy still lets all these things get to him like that. Quite unfortunate, really but that's our Andy - so emotional. Let's see how things pan out rest of the year and if he makes WTF at all this year.

As a Rafa fan I was over the moon with the FO win, but quickly plummeted back to earth with the Wimbledon loss. I still haven't reconciled the fact that he's now equal with Sampras, that seems surreal.

Yes, Nole needed that win bad. He's too good of a player to suffer those final jitters. He seemed to be fighting himself all match at the most inopportune times, but I'm glad he pulled it out.

Not too bad for Federer, he was so close, but things work out the way they're supposed to.

Andy's loss to Dmitrov was puzzling, especially considering his form. But, stuff happens. I hope he gets back on track because he's so nice to watch. His game fascinates me as you never know what he's going to do next. Still, he's a great player so I expect him to bounce back. Speaking of Andy, did you see the documentary they did on him? It was so awesome and really gave you a peek into his psyche and personality. I've always loved Andy's personality and am confused by those who think he doesn't exhibit it. For me, he produces it in spades, it's just understated, which is the way that I like. Anyway, it made me cry. I watched it three times in a row. It was the best documentary I've seen on a tennis player. Very well put together.

There's very little that I don't know about Sampras, that is public knowledge. Pete is still one of the classiest guys to play the game.

que pasa princess emma.

I would have to agree about those staggering number of RG crowns. I know he is going to end up with 10 or 11 but I just cant ever believe it.

I pretty much stay in shock. that is just an achievement of the last 100,000 centuries.

it is quite hard to win on clay. all we have to do is ask boris becker. he was a sensational talent and yet failed to win a single clay event while on the tour.

these days even 2 RG crowns are impossible for the players, let alone 9 of them. with 11 RG crowns he will end up having nearly twice as many as Borg. lets see how all that plays out. Rafa has to protect his health and change some of his training from the hard courts to clay if he wants to keep winning there for about 2 more years.

glad to learn that you are going to see the top guns in Toronto. it will be a cool treat for you.

I am sure you get to meet Andy and perhaps even have a small chat with him. he is a normal chap and very down to earth.

I am ready for big time tennis already.

Toronto masters cant come soon enough. and then we will get the cincy masters right away too.

I wonder if Andy is training in Miami. the conditions are very similar there to what they are going to be in cincy.

not sure about Toronto. I am sure it is hot and somewhat humid there as well this time of the year.

Hi Clay. Because Andy was in Montenegro last week for Nole wedding I dont think he has started his training block yet but I might be wrong.  Probably will be Miami yes.

Yes also I am fired up and ready for Toronto.  Part of me can see Nole being very hard to beat throughout all of this hardcourt period. I think we know what we are going to get from him. It is up to the others to be special like Rafa was this time last year.

Can't wait for Cincy! I will definitely be there. This year I'm going to get a grounds pass and try to take pictures. That should be fun.

Oh great to hear truth, hope you have great time at Cincy.. I understand that Cincy gives great access to the players so you may get chance to get up close and personal with a few of them. Emma at Toronto,  Truth in Cincy. Looks like Camelot have hardcourt season covered :-).

Glad you're back.

I've on forums for such a long time that it gets a bit tiring from time to time. A break from it is really a nice thing. But you are right I should have at least dropped a note saying that I was doing so. Thanks for caring guys. I don't say it much but know that despite our differences, not just you and me but all, I love you all because I know who we are deep down inside, so it doesn't matter to me who's like what on the outside and what kind of differences we choose to exercise. In absolute reality we are all the same and one. :)

Thank you, TT and thank you all!
