there is almost insatiable demand for fights, confrontations, bitter mindless attacks on each other and on each other's players.
and then there 2 ever present groups in a constant, never ending state of war over Federer and Nadal.
just take this insane contest they used to have at MTF: it was an "arse clown of the year contest". its only purpose was to let the posters go at each other.
they would open a thread and tell the posters that pretty much anything goes at that thread. in other words, attack away and insult away.
nadal camp wanted somebody in the Federer camp to win. same with the Federer camp: they were dying to get some nadal fan to win the contest so they could him an arse clown for the rest of his life.
now those hapless idiots there want that contest back so they can carry on with the attacks and insults. they want a venue for it.
mods would get involved too. since many of the them were Federer fans, they also worked day and night to get some nadal fan to win.
you will meet shanks here on of these days. he is a huge nadal fan. they went after him day and night there.
they did the same to me but they would always lose in the end. I had enough support to make sure they never won. it pretty pathetic to see mods there engage in a mass PM campaign to get people to vote for me.
that is how much they hated nadal.

One thing for sure.. the TW forum has no root in real life. Rafa is so popular and loved. They get fired up in some kind of dark universe in there. If you are a bit sensitive to energies it is easy to smell the low focus in there. I never meet coward people like that in daily life.

they were just unbelievable at MTF. they had posters that wished death and injury to nadal often and yet the mods did nothing.
mods must have needed that for their amusement because they penalized only those who went after people who would wish nadal injury and death.

Quoting should be easy but there's an issue here so it can be a bit complicated. Do this next time you want to quote:
1. Click on
Quote of the post you'd like to quote
2. It would say
Loading....but don't pay attention to that.
3. Scroll down and click on
Quick Reply - the plus
+ sign. You may need to click on it twice.
4. Once you do that, you will see the post is already quoted.
5. Click on
Preview at the bottom right corner of the text post next to the blue Post button.
6. It will take to the bigger text box on the next page with the post already quoted
7. Type your post after the quoted post and then click on
Post.
Should be okay. Try with a very small post that is easy to quote.
Internet is just place where people can come and unleash all their twisted desires. It is so easy to be brave and twisted when you get to hide behind the screen of your computer. Ask them to confront in real life and nobody will show up.

You have so many ideas going all the time, and I find it very refreshing. There's nothing like having a creative dream to keep the mind stimulated.
You guys have something unique here. A relaxing, no-holds barred environment without all of the controversy.
But, I have a suggestion, if you don't mind.
You should actually limit people's ability to get their own forum right away. Make that more of an incentive to aspire to. As the place grows, and it will, the site might become unwieldy and there won't be time to check on the forums and therefore lose some control over the place.
For example: Why not establish a post count before people are allowed to get their own space? Heck you could even charge a nominal fee, say $2-3 dollars a month to save money for advertising.
If people have something to aspire to, they'll be more vested. They'll post more often, get hooked on the place as they work towards a goal.
One of the great attributes of this forum is that the threads are separate which allows posters to enjoy their favorites without so much negativity.
I'm only on page 13, so it may take me a while to see any replies to my posts.

finally I think our non-tennis section is really going to shine for us one day. I just have this feeling that non-tennis may end up being an integral part of the Camelot one day.

Dunno herc, I am actually not so familiar with this kind of going back and forth thing. Seems like only posters of MTF are kind of into this thing. Somehow this false status means a great deal to him. I thought they would be more into tennis if nothing. I've had more faith in Slasher so this is kind of disappointing. It's disappointing when you find out that's all they care about. We are still so unevolved. This is definitely the side effects of materialism where pleasure and power are everything.
