sara would have to design a smaller logo from scratch.
No worries, herc. It's not essential. Thankfully Emma's World is at the top so it saves me from scrolling all the way down all the time but the only reason I do it is because I want to see if we have new posters so that I can welcome them. But the sidebar where we get to see the most recent posts takes care of it most of the time.
I do feel our board is unnecessarily long. I checked all other forums and they all look reasonably long - at least half our size and it makes things easier for me, but know this is my personal preference only. If other members are fine than I have no problem.
nole is a good man Emma. the word on the street is that nole has been getting food and supplies to those stranded in the snow storm in Serbia.
Well, basically searched everywhere to expand the Quick Reply feature but with no luck so far. Looks like all other settings are expanded except the Quick Reply one. If anyone has any clue would be great really if you'd let me know. Thanks in advance.
So I took some of my co-workers to coffee/breakfast yesterday to Timothy's. These are the people I tend to hang out the most and they are Project Managers. Then our boss took us to lunch to thank us for the project we'd just worked on and launched. It was just the core team however. We went to Joey at Eaton Centre. Folks, if you are ever in Toronto and downtown in particular, please don't miss out this place. Their food is just simply delicious. We go there from work a lot to have lunch/dinner or just to celebrate and it has always been a great experience. Their service is also top notch.
Here's a picture of Joey - quite interestingly, yesterday we sat right on this side of the street. The restaurant is quite massive and has different floors and has very nice patios on the other side of it. Their lounges are also great and quite big. You can basically watch any sport you like. Yesterday Tsonga match was on and I was sitting right in front of it. I saw Tsonga win his match.

Most people are good though herc and they do bunch of stuff to help out people; it's just that they don't live in the limelight and also, some of them are perhaps not so keen on the attention. Nole won't be able to avoid the attention though since he's already a very well known tennis player.

He's very happy for Ward, isn't he?
I just read on TW and it's posted by Mainad who I happen to think is a very good poster (posted below). I think it's mostly true as I've witnessed it one too many times myself over the years. Nadal is quite popular by many Indians. He's also very popular by all the South Americans. British are also very fond of Nadal but it's most common in women. I don't think the guys are into them all that much. I do feel a player's popularity, especially around the world, is directly connected to his/her nationality first, looks come second and anything else is last. Of course there are exceptions but I am mostly speaking in general terms perspective. That's probably the very reason why Federer is so popular because he comes from a country that doesn't have much history behind it to be controversial enough. Quite ironic, all this, when you look into in each country's history - Spain for example - you know it's not at all innocent.

We are being snowed in today. Winter has gone all mental on us, really.
Now I will take a 180 degree turn and say that, sex is quite overrated.

we should try to invite this poster to Camelot if possible.
it cannot be done emma.

well when we find sara again we will ask her if can find the time to make another identical logo but with 1/2 the size of the original/current one.
and then we can use that for all the individual boards.
also those boards where there is little or no activity can be placed near the bottom.
we are just unique anyway:
1. first we are in the infancy and experimental stage
2. we want to send the right message out there that you really can have anything you please here. even your very own board to do whatever you please
3. individual boards give people a chance create, build, and add content and be a part of the of the Camelot story.
4. individual boards should be making people feel welcome here and also allow them great deal of autonomy.
5. individual boards allow people to be themselves
it will all work out in the long run. ultimately we will figure out just the right format/structure for Camelot.
emma the three large centers that are not all that active are at the bottom.
you said that nole skipped for the right reasons.
what do you mean lady emma?
I think this was a chance to represent his country and also an opportunity to restore some order at the top.
I don't know the real reasons but my guess would be he wants to focus more on his individual career. The top players shouldn't be playing DC anyway. It takes a lot of energy away from them plus it has no real value. And it compromises tennis' individuality. Good for Nole.
Right now I am not against Andy playing DC but that's only because Andy badly needs to be matchfit. And also, the fact that it's on clay, makes it even a better proposal as not only it will help him get better on clay but also, there's no true harm playing DC at this stage of the year anyway.
I'd be very happy if they scrapped the whole idea of DC from tennis.
I think they have saturated the event. davis cup is just too frequent.
I like the idea of having it every 2 years. that will allow the players to plan for it better.
or they can do it like the Olympics: 4 years.
every single year is too much. the sport has become too demanding for the top players to deal with it every year.
