Here is where I was in May.

Banja Luka, Bosnia







It was quite rainy when I was there. When I finally had gotten used to the idea that the entire day would be a wash-out and that with an umbrella I could at least walk to the nearest shopping mall to spend some time there, the sun finally came out for some hours. Nothing interesting to see apart from Orthodox churches and a fortress which is undergoing a major re-construction at the moment.

I finally made it to one of the many Croatian National Parks which are still left on my bucket list. It was raining when we went there but I really enjoyed

Krka National Park, Croatia.

I just didn't get the chance to go on a boat trip to the beautiful monastery which is located on one of the islands on river Krka. Maybe I will go there again in August. Unlike in Plitvice National Park, it is even possible to go for a swim in this national park. I find the idea of swimming under a huge waterfall quite appealing so I think I have not just one but two solid reasons to return when it is warmer.

Actually this village is the one which is being featured on most of the postcards featuring the Croatian region of Dalmatia. I want to go back there in summer because we only stopped shortly.
