A cowboy goes to town on Sunday. He stays 3 days then leaves on Sunday. How is this possible?

This is normally a 3 pointer as it's normally spoken & written gives 1 away so I'll only give 2 points, Lady Divine.

There is a set of identical twins. 1's 20, the other's 20 too. (This would have been the 1st point if spoken). They were born in March but their birthdays are in September & 1 legally married his Mother. How is this possible?

Thank you very much, Lady Divine. Haha! It poses as a maths question but it's a logic question.

No, the answer is 0 as if it's sailing in the sea it will be rising with the waves. The rungs will only be under water if it starts sinking.
There is a ship sailing on the sea. It has a ladder down the side. This ladder has 6 rungs 1 ft. apart. The 1st rung is 1 ft. above the bottom of the ladder. The sea is rising by 1 ft. every 1/4 of an hour. After 1 hr. how many rungs will be under water?

Good one Lady Ann

Of course haha

Time to put you out of your misery:

Ok, let's say the date is 1 Jan 2016.

The day before yesterday he was 8 (Yesterday = 31 Dec 2015 and the day before was 30 Dec 2015).

His birthday was the 31 Dec 2015 when he was 9. On the 31 Dec 2016 he is 10 and on the 31 Dec 2016 he is 11.

Haha

Me thinks you rather enjoy us all in a little misery

This was perplexing in many ways yes

Thank you kindly for the explanation

I know you have another one up your sleeve Sir 😊🤗

Hey Divine,

The day before yesterday, Young Jim was 8 years old. Next year, he'll turn 11. How is this possible?

Sir Britbox
Lovely to see you here with a teaser that has me stumped

Does it have anything to do with Roman numerals?

Please share the answer you've piqued my curiosity 😂

Today's Brain Teaser for the House of Camelot:

we can let the others participate as well in other brain teasers.

the correct answer is 5 minutes.

If it takes 5 machines 5 minutes to make 5 widgets, how long would it take 100 machines to make 100 widgets?

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Never been good at brain teasers. Hate taking the time to think about it. Why does it take 5 minutes instead of one minute? Don't they make one widget a minute?  ???.

It takes one machine 5 minutes to make a widget.

If you have five machines lined up and they start at the same time then they are making a widget each in those five minutes.  5 widgets in total are made.

if you have hundred machines lined up and they start at the same time then are making a widget each in those five minutes. 100 widgets in total.

... but all in five minutes.

Dang it! That just required a little thought. That's what I get for being mentally lazy.

I'm glad you like No. 1 Britbox. I heard No. 2. I liked it but thought it was a bit "outside the box" & not realistic.

I've got a couple for you.

1. How do you divide 12 by 2 & get 7 without adding 1? It is possible. There may be a trick to it.

2. You're in a 10 ft. x 10 ft. steel room with no doors or windows. All there is in this room is a table & a saw. How do you get out?

The answers are

1. XII is 12 in Roman Numerals. If you divide anything by 2 you half it. If you take the bottom 1/2 off XII you're left with VII which is 7 in Roman Numerals.

2. You saw the table in 1/2. 2 halves make a w(hole) you crawl through.

1. is very clever... I like it.

2.  Oh no... Head in hands... that's terrible.

Today's brain teaser for the House of Camelot:

A clump of weeds doubles in size each day.
In 40 days, the clump of weeds will cover the entire garden.

Question :
In how many days will the garden be half covered with the clump of weeds?
