It’s in the moments of listening to each other breathe on the phone
Words are superfluous
And then you speak
That loving tone
~Divine
Confusion has taken hold
The whole world is topsy turvy
Politicians expect us to take their word as gold
Illusions that built high walls
Are far from straight, they are extremely curvy
Falsehoods hammered as by laws
Monitoring and charging fines
Way too many flaws
In these newly developed laws
Yet we’re not allowed to speak with clarity
On platforms looking to create disparity
By silencing opposing views
You are not allowed an opposition
Be forced in silence
~Divine
Explosive news have us peering closely at all the stations
Fear mongering has been a ploy that’s been going on for years
It’s the last three, that captivated our attentions
We wanted to do the right thing
They just keep pushing the buttons and escalating fears
Lessons abound yet wise words from Einstein keep playing
Those who sit back and watch, is where the damage has been done
Perhaps not those words exactly, I’ll have to look up the precise saying
Confusion encapsulated in delusions
He, him, she, her, them, they, ze, zey, fluffy, furry
Biologically inclined, gender designed, words don’t define
You’re crossing the line
Two major emotions fear and love
Which one do you choose?
~Divine
Sweet and caring
She gave her heart, a part of her sharing
She’s stuck
Her birthday came and went and all she thinks about is yesterday
Her love died along with her only son
Empty and heart broken
Every time she feels light
She is struck by the dark
Copious amounts of pills won’t take away her pain
And now she fears again
That it’s over
She let them in
Loved them with all her might
And is forced to focus on all her fright
Elenor Rigby plays on her old record player
She tied her fate
Instead of a glass full, an empty plate
~Divine
In the midst of chaos
Come clarity
Will it be too late? [ Guests cannot view attachments ]
Thunderstorms are brewing again
Whipping winds are whistling
You can feel the electricity in the air
Feel the cleanse across the earth from the rain
Washing away energies watch the flowing rivers glistening
Heat and humidity felt stifling
Air conditioners on full blast
Craving the coolness of the air
Heavy rain pouring serenading us to sleep
Morpheus is preening
For most have fallen fast
The lullaby of nature
~Divine
It was in the middle of the night
When magic took place
Actually early morning light
Shone sweetly upon my face
Music was serenading from the speakers
Sighs escaped from swollen lips
Can’t barely stand, knees feel weaker
Sustenance to quench the thirst
Both reaching to grasp the glass
The graze of our fingertips
Happened before, not the first
Nor the last
Looking forward not the past
Life’s taken us on different paths
Only to bring us back together again
Not quite slow
Yet not so fast
With practice makes perfect
Feels sleeker
~Divine
Did she say yes?
Did he ask?
She shook her head
He nodded his
She tapped her foot
He drummed his fingers
They both smiled
The look in their eyes
Still lingers
~Divine
Many exchanges left them bereft of words to share
They sat in silence looking at each other
Making the eye contact through love and care
Painting and sculpting as the afternoon light
Heightened their works of art
Altering mood filling music to assist
Making their bodies move left to right
Feverishly melding their creativity
Leveling up the inspirations with specificity
It takes time for the objects of art
With love to come into full bloom
Calling it an artistic affair
Morning through night
~Divine

Then magic happens!
Listen to the water cascading
From the waterfall
It’s whispers entwined with mine
To share a story
Only your ears will understand
The sky shines blue
And true is the depth
Where intimacy shared
Still truer
Love embraced
Shone brightly on this enthusiastic face
~Divine
Shout it out loud
Scream it to the skies
Straight into the clouds
The truth sets us all free
Free from the tyranny of lies and deception
Shout it loud
Those who listened to the inner knowing
Shared their love for one another
With out exception
Shout it loud
Everyone pro or con
Every single one in the crowd
~Divine
Yesterday is gone
Tomorrow is yet to come
Focus on today
It’s the only day that matters
~Divine
Elation of excitement ran through her to her toes
She kept pinching her leg, still unbelievable
Her hands shook as she opened the letter
She handed it to her mother to read to make it believable
Shaking spread from the core of her belly
Her mother stopped to look at her incredulously
Happy and fearful, knowing the unknown her life would be better
She studied for years overcoming obstacles and foes
Time was on her side
Still it was continually ticking
Looking forward to the day
She’d be walking across the stage, in a smooth glide
Composed and strength in accepting her award
She is the first in her family to complete high school
A great gesture, a tremendous feat
~Divine
