• Sweet Marilyn
  Smiling happily to all the cameras
  Having the deep desire to please
  Playfully tease
  Torment & tantalize
  As all watched with curious eyes
  
  The smiling mask
  She donned daily
  Nightly
  Always on
  Until it was too hard a task
  
  Conspiracy theorist
  Moi
  
  Believes her deathly demise
  A medicinal concoction of self despise
  (no)
  
  But like that miraculous single ricocheting
  Bullet that bounced & hit its Kennedy victim
  Continuously
  
  Strenuously as I might
  For all the evidence they say they brought to light
  
  Part of me will always wonder
  Who was there to pander
  And help her imbibe
  In the guise
  Of love and care
  
  Think out of the box
  Break all the real lies
  Spewed at us for years
  Look at pictures of her real tears
  And pain
  And then she smiled again
  
  A beautiful misguided soul
  Wanting the need to love
  And be loved
  All facets of herself
  
  To feel whole
