Souls intent

A little struggle
Can be an overwhelming feeling of apprehension
Quiet the mind
Breathe deeply
Stop the madness
The pressure
Pure foolishness
The burden is stifling
Realization it's trifling

This night is so humid & hot
Lying naked in bed
I abhor the air conditioner on high
Love the feel of the fan
That sweeps across my perspiring body
Cooling but not
My fevered torso is glistening
The tea light in the lantern flickering
Sending images across this aphotic night
Delicious memories seep into my mind
Recalling our last encounter
My lips still swollen from your kisses
Some of your love marks
Evident even in the candlelight
Smiling, I shared similar traits
Some fingernail scars on your shoulder
Love bites
My fingertips featherlight
Skimming the contour of my curves
Reminiscing with every passing minute
Your hand twirled through my hair
Your eyes staring into my soul
Penetratingly rhythmic
Captivatingly in sync
I'm missing you
Aching for you
Surprisingly
Needing you
Tingling

Magnitude of drops
Coalesce in the stream
Torrential downpour intensifies
Swirling into a vast mass
Cathartic once delving into
The picturesque dream
Recalling the glass
As half full
Pitter patter strengthens
Large stratocumulus forms
Ripples and rolls
Lightning strikes
Stark against the blanket of the night
Tear escapes
Pathway down my face
May seem out of place
But intermingled with the downpour
You can't discern
My pain from the rain

Bear the strain

Need of clemency

Antidote to the poisonous lies
Countermeasure your black truths
