Lurking and watching the game at play
Two decades ago they promised to be
Faithful and loving for all to see
Resentment has cursed a love that once was
Social media is their purpose, it’s all abuzz

The wind rustled her hair as they stood in the cold crisp air
She knew she wanted to say something
She remained mute
He looked in her eyes earnestly
She was his everything

Insecure in their approach on how to let go

Crossroads had come to a fork
He planned his

It hurt
Hug was warm and oh so tight
After all they had agreed
To this whole week
This was the last night
They were both hooked
Ego said their flights were booked

Swimming through the cascades of emotions
Like diving and plunging into the depths of oceans
Gliding when calm
Struggling when anxious
The stream of consciousness has been duplicitous of late
Confusion seems at an all time high
Instead of love; displays evolve in hate
Certainly misguided devotions
Complexity elevated with these constant global disturbances
Contrails fill the sky
Polluting Mother Earth as evil dances
The waters once blue seem too polluted
Homo sapiens creating from greed and destruction
Forgetting to lend a hand
Attacks on all living beings across all land

Crossing the barriers that appear solid
Driving force captivating every nuance conceptualizing my brain
Wading through stigmas procured
Elemental feelings of dread
Ideas cramming my mind like heavy rain
Once the heavy laden clouds crack open
Simulation of the process has begun
Trickling to head on full force
Engulfed in the power at times overwhelming
Staring at the inevitable stains left behind under my fingernails
Wondering bereft of feeling
