• It's a good film which gives the main story but it isn't wholly historically correct. E.g. William Wallace wasn't like Mel Gibson depicted him. He was tall & fat & had a beard & moustache. I'm glad you enjoyed the film though.

  I read that he was a big commanding man
  
  The movie depicted him positively I felt.
  
  Mel was also the director so it was his vision
  
  I'm noticing YouTube is removing whole movies

• Mel Gibson tried his best but it is very hard to get historically correct information about Scottish history out of Scotland. I also think that more of the cast should have been Scottish to give a more realistic depiction though some of them did a brilliant job. That is indeed sad to see.
