Removing the rose tinted glasses
Unloved seemed a choice that revolved
Couldn't smooth out every wrinkle
That time feigned to scathingly claim
Each thought struck a harsher stake
Tearing all you've worked apart
Moans + groans of negativity
Destroyed those that embraced
Highly sensitivity
Death may have claimed those
Near + dear
Wounds are deep the scars have seared
The flesh
Frazzled + broken down
Death creeps up sometimes
Without a sound
Holding on to illness
Aches + pains are written all over her face
Demons laid their claim
It's up to her to shatter them
From the rightful name
Her fight has been shattering her armour
She's lost her youthful vigor
The light that once acclaimed her
Is where the darkness has now shamed her
She always had the answers for one and all
Stood proud and tall
Watch her as she takes the fall

She loved them deeper
Deeper than she loved herself
Sacrificed months to years of life
Protectively taking in everyone's strife
With haunting dread
She welcomed her living dead

She stood alone
Let the zephyr
Whip away
The heavy screams
That shattered every dream
Broken

Tip toeing quietly across the room
Not to disturb while all in slumber
Realizing it's a new moon
Arise with beginning at ones fingertips
Releasing the trickling of the strain
Of holding back or trying to refrain
The binds that have bound
Those raw constraints
Followed by the judgements
That will be soon forgot on the morrow
In prayers I ask for guidance
In ways to release the striking pain
Between my breast plates
Illusions can make ordinary appear extraordinary
Reality is we stand alone
Alone in our grand appearance in this world
Alone in our abatement from this earth
Wandering aimlessly multiple questions that whirl
Sadly fears that we unearth
Accepting fabrication as the word
Realizing being receptive to what has been the norm
Arising for its time to reform
Aches will continue
What we put forth
Either with forlorn sadness or laughing mirth

Nothing makes sense
Truly
In a scheme of things
It's all nonsense
Trying to comprehend
The nonsensical
Illusions of practical
While all is forgettable
Not notable

Time has come
Such a difficult decision
One that demands
Critical precision
Feeling the coldness of the scalpel
In my hand
Severing of ties that bind
Has left me bland
Aches and pains
Are echoing the sentiments in my eyes
Last while they are dead
Ceased is the laughter + merriment
Delicious thoughts running in my head
Breaking all the barriers of self confinement
Each strand has frayed
Multiple is the sense of direction
Catatonic is false sense of perfection
Living a life
Where all I've seen, felt or heard
Deception

Relations of various kinds
Enter our lives
Many come for a season
Others for a reason
Some to create forms of treason
Lessons abound
There are people who will slip in + out
Without a shout
And others a much louder sound
That shakes + rattles
For all that crossed my path
I thank you 😊
I'm ready for the next phase
