Tears falling aimlessly
Helplessly
All my life
Always been the strength
That others depend
Even the strong bend
Hurt

Each chapter must come to an end
One must fend
For themselves
Being selfish does send
A message to everyone
Letting those tears fall silently
Eases the pain in my chest
That gaping hole in my heart
I'm missing you
My strength is pierced
Chinks in my armour
Smiling is best
For most
To put to rest
Their blatant fears
For when the strong are weak
They forget to breathe, to speak
Stalwart in the face of adversity
Of numbing pain
Smile eradicating the facial strain
That tear that escaped
That made a pathway
Across my face
Seems out of place
For all expect
Put a burden
That crushes those
Who forget to ask for help
It's certain
For they have been let down
What goes on in others lives
Is misconstrued
By the perception
Of what's going on in ones life
Through their strife
Apprehension sets in
When the strong need some time
To crumble

Let that single tear
Proof that even the strong
Need someone to lend an ear
For someone to hear
The silent cries
Represented by that one tear
