Strange how we drown out certain sounds
Enthralled with other things we focus
It's once we pay attention when we found
How many different threads are spoken
Many don't realize all the sounds we choose
To stop listening
We find it more once a hearing aid is helping
All the sounds are obvious
When we falsely believe we are broken
Only to discover we enjoy hiding
What we truly regard and holding
