Once so long ago
An unwitting veil
Was thrust upon
Hazy effects obscuring facts
Creating a deliberate obstacle
One that separated
Failure versus success
Worked up resistance
With finality of letting go
And nothing really mattered
Concluding the inertness
To finally be shattered
In awe of releasing all control
