Peering got each other's looks
Plethora of movies
Our favourite tv shows
The thrill of watching our various
Sports teams
Still encouraging them even in defeat
Way you insist I wear gloves
Scarf and a hat

The world is lovely place
It is not broken
We will survive
We will thrive
It's our heart connection
The emotions that rise within us
Making memories
For future recollection

Is our moment to moment

Need to express my emotions
My throat is raw from the pain
Choking back the scream
Evolving into a different commotion
The nightmare is real
This damned despondent dream
I'm bound by the need to feel
Agitated in confusion
Suspended in the haze of the fog
Every which way nothing but distortion
Debating is my need for nicotine
That addictive smoke smog
In actuality the need to breathe
Deep breathes & blow them out
Releases the anger
That slow built up seethe
Ultimately leads to a great scream & shout
It's stepping over that fine line
Between safety and danger
No more pushing my feelings down
Or my fake smiles
Make everyone laugh & feel great
As I perform like the clown
Fermenting & incensed disliking the hate
Needing to realize
My need to crawl in break out the nebulous
Releasing all of the lies
As they claim is truth
Incredulous

It's late
All I can manage
Is to crawl into bed
Hug my legs against my chest
Scrunching the pillow beneath my head
In  Hopes that slumber is best
As fatigue sets in
Sleepin
