Sounds foreign to me
Usually melodic & sensual
Confident with touches of glee
Throat feel scratchy
Holding back your words

Listening to the cacophonous sounds of the city
Hustle and bustle all around
Just minutes outside of my front door
Stepping onto the streets
Treasure trove of what's in store
Birds & squirrels & their morning greeting
One pigeon taps on the door for our breakfast meeting
I'm in awe of these wondrous events
That take place in city life
Animals of the wild can be gentle
It's the humans that conform
To the lifestyle that has become their norm
Of rushing
Running from point A to point B
Not really looking although they are seeing

When I was two was to be a fairy
Be able to fly around
Wanted to see everything with stars
Love to be light and airy

When I was five was to play Snow White
I found her Magickal and a delight
It might have been a small production
But the acting bug had bitten me
Full on induction
My dreams when I was young
We're full of creativity
I'm so glad to receive & reconnect
With that beautiful brown eyed
Black haired pale skinned little girl
Who walked around with a permanent smile
Loved her hair in little curls
I may be older and though my black hair is straight
It's never too late
To keep creating
