Novak Djokovic looked pretty great throughout his first five matches at Roland Garros, dropping only one set to Marin Cilic along the way.
However, in his semifinal match against Ernests Gulbis, there were reasons for concern. Djokovic looked shaky throughout, spraying errors, showing signs of nerves and even smashing his racket to smithereens in the fourth set.

He admitted in his post-match on-court interview that he hadn't been feeling well, but didn't specify what the problem was. According to members of the media, including Ben Rothenberg of The New York Times, Djokovic seemed ill at the press conference.

Andy played four more hours than Rafa and looked flat. But the good thing is that his clay game is improving. He's building and the next clay season he'll also be a force to be reckoned with.

Still, we have to keep things in perspective. He has to get used to playing at his very high level and against his peers again. He's doing great, and as always has the right attitude.

Murray came into the semifinal after two five set wins in his last three matches in Paris, but wasn’t sure if that was the issue.

“I don’t know, to be honest,” Murray replied when asked if the long matches took their toll. “If it was, I’ve only got myself to blame, because I was in control of a lot of the matches that went longer than maybe they should have been. So if that did have anything to do with it, it was completely my fault.

I just got home.

watching the match now.

here is the deal:

andy is tired and it shows. he played two 5 setters so that has left him leg weary.

rafa is going to have to step it up and I think he will. he has the extra gears.

andy is just off today. that is helping rafa's cause a great deal.

even paul annacone is saying the same thing in so many words: he said andy is "lacking clarity".

also rafa continues to run around his backhand as much as possible. he has to let that wing get into rhythm.

it makes the game easier and he will be more confident as a result of it.

but who the hell is going to tell Rafa that. he doesn't even listen to himself.

rafa just cant help himself. he is not taking the opportunity to hit more backhands.

right now andy is not exactly putting up a massive resistance.

rafa is hell bent on playing the game from his backhand corner hitting forehands.

as general masterclass has indicated, he does not have the speed or even the mustard he used to have on his shots.

this is a questionable stuff. I am not happy with this.

he is not preparing properly for the final.

his backhand is just horrible.

he simply refuses to give it a chance to get into rhythm. it also affects his backhand return of serve.

he has no confidence in it and yet refuses to do anything about it.

andy is hitting 75 MPH 2nd serves and yet rafa is still running around his backhand to return it with his forehand.

that is just ridiculous.

i think maria has left the building. what do you think happened?

we have been very kind and very thoughtful. nobody in this forum business is as kind as we are. nobody.

i think there are only 2 possibilities:

1. somebody poisoned her against us
2. we are just too quiet for her here

i know the facebook addicitons are almost impossible to break. i find that about 90% of the people are completely bogus at facebook.

there is also a lot of crime at facebook. they are able to steal your identity as well as find away to hack into your various accounts.

so vast majority of the people on facebook are bogus and not genuine.

they are also very lazy. their idea is throw something out there and hope people hit the like button.

see here we take the time to put our thoughts down. and also over time we get to know each other a little bit.

we know we can always come here and have  trust in each other. we also know that we can trust each other to do the right thing because that is what we believe in.

its a very small family here but at least it is a cool and an honest family with integrity and values.

Rafalution told me that there was a lot of fighting among various nadal groups. some of them did not get along for example.

now she left because we were not advanced enough for her. at least that is what she told me. she said we lacked the proper technology for her taste and for the taste of her friends.

there was no fight. i just left it at that. all i said was that we are doing the best we can for now.

anyway so it is possible that some nadal groups don't care for us here at Camelot. perhaps they see us competition. that leads me to this possible theory that some nadal group on facebook poisoned her against us.

Maria was pretty new to the sport, so she (and this is my opinion) has to get used to the ups and down of following a sports hero. No one wins all the time, but when you fixate on a particular player the highs are stratospheric and the lows are very depressing. It takes a lot of emotional energy, and I don't think she was prepared for that. I think she may be better able to balance it with time, but it's the same as having a favorite actor. You love everything that they do and then their next movie is a dud. You feel betrayed and fearful of their demise.

Quite common for newbies, I think.

she might be busy with school as well.

well lets hope she stops by from time to time because Camelot was built for wonderful people like her.
