I am attacked a lot at various forums simply because I am a high profile Rafa fan. I have absolutely bitter, hateful enemies. you may have seen a  few of them at tennis warehouse. they have managed to get there from MTF. so now they spread their message of blind hate at both places (MTF and tennis warehouse) and they are able to get away with it.


I have lost most of my federereeesian friends once Rafa got a little closer to the slam record.

it is what it is. I don't have the time to worry about these things.

I have way too much to do.

New Rant:

You know what I hate? Women professors! They are the worst. They try to out alpha the males, no doubt due to centuries of oppression, but IMO, women can use their own skills, rather than try to emulate male professors by being harder.

Here's what happened.

We were assigned a rough draft in week 5, that was to become a final draft in week 7. We waited and waited to get comments on our initial draft. She did not do it by the end of week 6, nor the beginning of week 7. By Wednesday several students pointed it out that we could not do the final draft without her comments from week 5.

So, she finally does the rough draft. She notes 5 errors on my rough draft. 1. No abstract was required, 2. I didn't use an acronym before introducing the concept, and 3. My word count was high. 4 & 5 were a comma, and a typo, holds instead of hold.

I reply to her that the syllabus clearly states that an abstract is required, I highlighted where I did introduce the acronym in the previous paragraph, and the word count which was 1.250-1,500 did not include my essay which had 1,474 words.

Rather than admit that she was wrong, she acknowledged that she had missed 3/5 wrong comments, but she redoes my paper and now she has 10 areas of concern?

I write back and explain my position again. On the 3rd time she sends my paper back and now she has 15 areas of concern, none of which she initially listed.

I ask her if she is going to adjust my grade and she says no, and refers to her third "correction." I am livid. She is taking no responsibility for putting us in a pinch. No responsibility for not having read the assignment and knowing what the guidelines were. Obviously, the other students didn't do an abstract and now I am being penalized for following the instructions.

She is trying to justify deducting 11 points off of my essay for no reason. I guess she didn't like that I complained. None of the prior "corrections" were in the first response.

I am so mad. I put in a call to her and am waiting for a callback. In the meantime I have to wait to see what she says. But, I have no idea how she can justify her behavior. This typically happens with female professors towards the end of a course. It's like anything to pull your GPA down in the ninth hour.

Grrrrrr!

This is really a complicated situation TT... because clearly she is acting with abuse of power.

...Hopefully everything will be resolved well and that it does not harm you.

Thanks mara rafangel. It is all resolved now.

She still tried to weasel her way out of her responsibilities, but she said the paper was separate and wouldn't affect my grade.

Then we began talking on a personal level and all was well. She answered some concerns that I had.

So, I will revise the paper and get through next week, where I will never have to deal with her again.
