I am worried 1/2 to death now:

http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2014/05/nadal-extends-french-open-win-streak-31/51625/#.U4opAWdOV9A

rafa's back is flaring up again.

I read an article that said Rafa's 1st serve percentage has been steadily decreasing from the first match to his last one. Not good news. For all of the years that reporters and commentators have speculated about the knees, it's the freak back injury that's giving him the most trouble.

Hopefully, his back will stabilize during the tournament, at least I hope so.

order of play for sunday:

http://www.rolandgarros.com/en_FR/scores/schedule/index.html?from=atp

Kohli can play some good ball. I like watching him play. Murray just hit an amazing pass. Bad news is that this match is draining, both physically and emotionally.

Good luck to both guys.

well in one interview he said that he still has pain in the knee as well.

poor guy just cant catch a break.

rafa and ferru are on a collision course. that match will give us the information we seek. if he can stay in the long rallies with ferru and also get rid of him in straights or 4 sets than I will start to feel a little bit better.

right now his movement is the worst it has ever been in his entire career. so now you know why simon was able to hit 60 winners on him in rome.

or why ferru and almagro were able to score wins on him on clay this year.

and now he is saddled with a bad back so he is leaving a lot on the table.

near 100% healthy rafa runs over everybody here. they would not have a prayer.

even 80% rafa is a handful on clay. I would put him at about 65% capacity right now if not a little bit less than that.

It's going to be difficult. I think we're seeing that the back hasn't healed completely and the knees are turning against him too. Rafa needs a break and help with his scheduling next year.

he wont give up the hard courts until he cant even walk again let alone play tennis. so what can you do. he is a creature of habit.

he has a million events and tournaments planned on the hard courts after Wimbledon.

this clay season would have gone smooth for him if he had played a few more clay events and skipped Miami masters.

He doesn't learn from his mistakes, that's for sure.

Yay! Good to hear. My VCR taped it, but I didn't see it at first. The second taping started with Rafa at 5-0. Have you ever noticed how Rafa doesn't like to win bagel sets? I had a feeling he would get broken, he always does that.

An interesting anecdote I read once, maybe in Rafa's book. It's seems Rafa beat somebody real bad, like a love and one, and after the match he was real excited about his result. And Toni reprimanded him saying tennis was a sport, but there was no reason to beat somebody like a dog. I don't know if it's true, but I read it somewhere a long time ago.

I'm glad to know that he's playing better. I'll watch the match later. I wasn't too interested though, seeing the scoreline. I hate blowouts.

Rafa better take Ferrer out. He's not competitive enough to win the tournament. It's best he exit before the business end of the tournament.

Rafa is just too kind.

it is possible he slacks up a little so as to not humiliate them.

I have rafa in straights over ferru.

its game on and its RG. and its Rafa.

no place for ferru to go now but home.
