I saw today where Rafa was pleased with the way he played, and so am I, because now he's getting to the stage with the people who have been hot while he was going. He isn't all the way back yet, but he's getting closer and he knows it.

I think Rafa's going to do fine. Every tournament he's played he's gotten better. That's encouraging.

He needs to find a way to capture Monte Carlo.

Yeah, he just needs to keep going in the right direction. He has improved a lot since he first came on tour. Patience is a virtue. Our Rafa will be fine.

nole is just too damn fit and too focused. he is working hard on every single aspect of his game.

still I picked roger because I know roger is still capable of playing at the highest possible level.

It was a sloppy match, full of errors and dips, but they are still light years ahead of Rafa. I'm glad Raonic won that match because Rafa would've gotten slaughtered by either one of them.

But Rafa is improving incrementally so I expect him to get better, but I'll say it'll be two or three more tournaments before he fully gets his confidence back and feel better about his game.

I hear ya. I was not really worried about the win as much as I am worried about his current level of fitness.



suboptimal fitness can lead to injury given his demanding style of play. we have had way too many injuries. next big injury will end his career.


I would just feel so much better once he is on the red clay.

Ever since he got the knees fixed he hasn't had an style inducing injuries. His back went out in Australia, that can happen to anyone. He got a fluke wrist injury and had to have his appendix taken out. I don't think he's had a serious injury for awhile.

Roger is indeed playing at a ridiculously high level. I don't know what happened to him in the third set though. TBH, he looked tired. That was a very physical match. I know you all think that Roger is so fit, but, and maybe it's age related, but Roger seems to tire a lot the longer the match goes on. He always has, and that's why his record isn't that good in 5 sets. He may not portray that, but it's pretty rare that the five set matches have close scores against the other Big Three.
