I think the intelligent ones like--like that dude "mustard" for example--stay because they have so much history with that place.

same at mtf. mostly trolls that are hell bent on peddling their crap but a few intelligent and objective folks there as well.

except at mtf, most of the reasonable people stay at their various chat threads.


they don't usually bother with the main tennis discussion page. they figure they can always talk tennis at their chat threads if they need to.


anyway change is uncomfortable for some. it takes a while to get used to a new group.


some are just not adventurous enough.

OK. Problem solved. Familiarity, history, and re-acclimating one's self to a new environment. I guess it will take time for people to get used to a totally different environment that doesn't resemble what other forums are traditionally known for.

cold weather has returned here now.

felix nadalista has his own show now. now folks can visit him and chit chat with him about various things.

of course all his friends can post anywhere they like at Camelot as well.



I think one neat advantage of folks having their own boards and their own shows is that it allows them massive freedom, autonomy, and flexibility.

now they can tell the world that they can be reached there. twitter and facebook have their functions but real chit chat and profound hear to heart talk or detailed discussion can only take place at a medium like this one.



finally it (having their own boards and their own shows) may allow people to overcome the initial apprehension and shyness about a new place.


and it goes without saying that they can use their own creativities and take their boards in any direction they please.


now you tell me what forum will allow somebody to have all that?

I had to ask one forum owner at least 20 times to give general masterclass a mod position and you have seen what kind of a person and what kind of a poster he is. the man is brilliant.

so we damn near could not even secure a lousy chicken **** mod position at forums. that is how stingy and how tough it is to get anything at any other forum.

and then there are million rules and policies.


here we have exactly zero rules and zero policies. people can come and go as they please and they can do anything.

here finally and for a change people can just be themselves.
