That is one of the reasons I love it so much...

when I first got reasonably good in tennis, I noticed that I usually had some sort of green in my tennis attire. either the stripes in the sox had a hint of green or the shirts. and even occasionally the shorts.


strictly a coincidence. there was usually something green that I was wearing. so it was pure coincidence at first with some of that green.


I also noticed that when I consciously increased the green that I was wearing I started winning most of my matches in the early days.


so that was it. I was sold on green and hooked on green. I even started carrying green pens to school. I would have green pens in my car as well as in my pockets.

I think you may already know that tennis players are naturally superstitious. I just took that to an extreme.

my mom and dad thought I was a little bit crazy of course but I had 2-3 green pens on me at all times.

so there you have it. I did not break that habit until I was out of grad school and teaching.

ha ha. so me and green color get along just fine.

Fun story! I can understand why you would like it. I know that people in sports, any sport, tend to be superstitious. I was when I was a cheerleader, and when I played softball and basketball.

I started out hating green. I was born on St. Patrick's Day, so everything was always green on my birthday when my favorite color was purple.

When I was 12, I asked my mom to make sure there was no green, and she did. I missed the color. It wasn't long after that when I realized there was always green around when I was most at peace. And with everything I was going through in my life I needed peace

So now I love both green and purple. They are calm, vibrant, peaceful, eye catching colors (among other things they represent). I wear those 2 colors the most.

Now you know why I like it too ha ha!
