it took a while but i thing we got the original look. this one might be a keeper for a while until we can figure out how to do slam banners.

how do you like this one?

I liked the previous one better if I am to be honest. This is looking a bit too big.

I have been thinking the same thing.

we will either try to make it smaller or use the other one.

it is pretty tricky to do so no way it can be done with I phone.

I will fix it when I get home later today.

nole took the match. roger's only chance was to strike quickly.

he could not hang with nole in a baseline duel.

at the moment I don't think anybody can hang with nole.

Having dinner with a couple of friends tonight. - later watching a movie. Waiting for them to arrive at the moment. Weather is not so good so decided to stay in and have fun at home instead.

Agree. They need to be smaller. But take your time. No rush. It's still us.

that sounds like fun.

weather here is nearly perfect. I have been chilling around the ocean again.

I am on my home shortly. it's damn near time for a drink or two and to just kick back and relax.

I will put the last banner in and take down this huge image of the castle.

the main banner looks a lot better now.

that castle was eating up too much room.

now I will figure out a way to put something on the bottom which should not affect anything.

Djokovic, Federer in same group

Serbia's Novak Djokovic returns the ball to Switzerland's Roger Federer during their semifinal match, …LONDON (AP) -- Roger Federer has won one title in the past 14 months, at a low-key tournament this summer. The ATP Finals are his last chance for a big victory this season.

''I still have another week where I have to give it all. After, it will be long holidays,'' Federer said after losing to Novak Djokovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 on Saturday in the Paris Masters semifinals in their first meeting this year.

The pair was placed in the same group at the season-ending, eight-man finals, which start Monday.

Djokovic, who won his 16th straight match in Paris against Federer, is the defending champion in London, where he beat Federer in the final last year. Djokovic also won the title in 2008, while Federer has won it a record six times.

Federer and Djokovic, who faced off for the 30th time, will be playing in a tough Group B that also includes the in-form Juan Martin del Potro and Richard Gasquet.

Federer said he will focus on his recovery ahead of Tuesday's match against Djokovic.

''I'm always excited about those challenges,'' said Federer, who will be competing for the 12th straight year in the ATP Finals. ''I have had a good couple of weeks now, and the most important thing is to recover as much as I can, so maybe the extra day I will get over Novak now, who knows, could be an advantage. But I doubt it.''

Federer, who won his last Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in 2012, has only two victories against top-10 opponents in 2013. He registered the first one in January against then-No. 8 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Australian Open quarterfinals before a series of defeats against opponents outside the top 50. He confirmed his recent improvements with a win over del Potro in Paris this week.

''I played a lot of tennis during the past 10 or 12 days. It gave me a lot of information,'' Federer said. ''I know what I have to do now. I know what I did well, what I can improve. I know physically where I am, and mentally I have a lot of confidence. I know my body is keeping it up.''

Del Potro said he was the victim of a theft at a train station in Paris on his way to London, having his suitcase stolen as he stopped to sign an autograph. The tall Argentine lost his passport and a personal item in the incident.

''I don't know who asked me for an autograph but I turned round and they took my suitcase,'' he said. ''But I got here and it happens in every country. I have my rackets and my clothes but nothing else. I lost personal things, my rosary that the Pope blessed in Rome, which is important to me. But it's over and I'm safe.''

Saturday's draw placed top-ranked Rafael Nadal in Group A alongside fellow Spaniard David Ferrer, Tomas Berdych and Stanislas Wawrinka. Nadal lost to Ferrer in the semifinals in Paris and will have a chance to avenge his loss when he plays him again in London on Tuesday.

The finals have a round-robin format, with the top two finishers reaching the semifinals.

Berdych and Wawrinka will open on Monday, followed by del Potro playing Gasquet.

just now waking up and sipping my favorite coffee: Maxwell house (French roast).

great weather here today on the gulf coast. I am going to get out and enjoy it.

I don't really have all that much interest in the match today. wtf will be more exciting since the #1 rank is still at stake.

wtf starts tomorrow.

Morning herc, forum is looking really good with the new size of pictures. It now has a proper balance. And I am glad you replaced the banner as well and put the top on at the bottom of the thread. Thanks for all the changes!

Our time has changed today so we are now 1 hour ahead. So it's REALLY 8am here judging by yesterday's time and I should REALLY still be in bed. lol But I woke up really early today instead and ended up watching a lecture by Dr. Michael Heiser on Genesis 1. He's a scholar on ancient text.

And now I am here waiting for Nole's match to start. I have some cooking to do later. Beautiful day, totally sunny; however temp is sitting at 4 (or maybe lower) at the moment.

morning emma. the site is looking a bit cleaner and slightly better organized now.
one can also get around it in less than 1/2 a second. there seems to be something for everyone for now.

and if people want their own boards with some control over them, that can happen here.

we will continue to play around with it until we find the most perfect look.

about the weather, I like our mild winters here.

canada is a bit too cold for me. having grown up in new Orleans, I am more accustomed to heat and humidity.

That's the best thing about Federer. He is always up for a challenge. He really loves playing tennis.

So sad about Del Potro. I guess the person who asked for the autograph was the one behind the crime. He or she just wanted to divert Del Potro or else it is too much of a coincidence to be true. Too bad about the rosary; it must have meant a great deal for him. People are still so primitive. This technological advancement is such a nonsense because, clearly we are as a race still so behind. I mean, after all, we still kill each other and more often than not we are driven by power, greed, lust, selfishness etc.

Hopefully DP will take this loss to his stride and realize that nothing is truly lost as he's not the one who did the crime. Also, when you lose something that is very dear to you, you get it back twice the amount in time.

This also reminded me the incident when Sampras' stuff including most of his tennis trophies were stolen from a storage when he was in between moving houses. That was another very sad incident. There were so much memories attached to those trophies.

I like the cooler side of things, herc so hot and humidity is really not my thing even though I too was born and at least spent my childhood growing up in a very hot country like Pakistan. It has no reflection on me however as I like the weather in Canada a great deal. It's now Fall and things are just too beautiful outside. I like the variety of the season so just one weather throughout the year is really not my thing, especially if it's going to be just hot and humid all the time.
