morning sport fans.

sipping fresh coffee and watching some davis cup.

nole is basically unbeatable at the moment. he is serving simply too well and returning even better.

One must need to pay attention to the serve. You know how a big a weapon it is. The reason why Federer is still winning some important matches is because of his serve. He is otherwise quite erratic off the baseline.

That's why I say a peak and prime Sampras is devastating as both Federer and Nadal will have a really hard time returning his serve. Not only they are not known as great returners but also, they will be under a lot of pressure to hold their own serves. And it's not necessarily a better case for either Nole or Murray either because, history suggests, an incredible returner like Agassi had no answer to Sampras' serves and had to guess it most of the time while facing off. And it doesn't make you feel any better when you know that Sampras' 2nd serve was just as good if not better, so it left no doors open for his opponents to bite it and most times, they would wish for a bad day for Sampras at the office. It's not that Courier past his prime at age 26 but that Sampras had him on the ropes from the get go and left him no hope. And it's not that Agassi indulged himself into drugs and women because he didn't want to play tennis, but because he too didn't see much hope against Sampras. Agassi was flamboyant and he loved name, fame, glory and all that jazz, but he had to play the 2nd fiddle to Sampras and that's why he speaks so low of Sampras in his book, which is full of lies for the most part btw. In reality, he couldn't do what he wanted to do because of Sampras and he always hated him for that reason. Even to date, he doesn't miss a chance to take pot shot at Sampras.

Courier of course wasn't as vindictive. He accepted the fact that Sampras was by far the superior player when he came into his own term and showed his respect that way.

Actually the war is not between hate and hate but who gets to keep the bragging right in the end. Of course, Federer fans don't like the fact that Nadal owns their guy and it essentially detrimental to his so called GOAT status; and Nadal fans, while their guy owns the 'GOAT', he hasn't surpassed the Slam count yet to be called the real GOAt. So it's definitely all about that. It's all about who gets to keep the bragging right in the end. I mean look at masterclass' post - he clearly thinks Murray won his two Slams at the expense of Nadal being injured and Federer's decline even when he has no first hand knowledge if that was going to be the case if Nadal was around.

And I remember reading a lot of posts after USO who claimed Murray got to the final and won his first Slam because Berdych did him a favour when he took out Federer in the qtr final. But then we see Murray taking out Federer in the semi-final at AO just a few months after. But then the same bunch contributed that loss to 'Federer declining'. One can never win when one lives in the Fedal era, alas. Ad nauseam stuff.

TW does have many posters who live to attack. You don't have to say or do anything to them, besides not be a Fed Fan.

It's really silly, but what are you going to do?

I like the vibe over here. Real slow and mellow.

Am loving Miss Emma's café although I don't drink coffee.

I suppose I could order a spot of tea, but the truth is I prefer cold beverages.

No caffeine for me.

Anyway, I am loving the forum and the ability to talk in peace without the usual clique behavior.

I love your vibe as well, Lady Emma.

A touch of class, indeed.

Thanks thetruth, I think in return, you are a genuine and lovely person. And I love the fact taht you love this place. We can talk about all sorts of things without hating each other or going at each other. And that's the beauty of it all. But more importantly, it's now all about Federer and Nadal. It's about all the players. It's comforting to know that.

I am all for serving you a cup of tea and cookies too!

great post. Agassi does harbor some deep seated resentment for pistol pete because the pistol was so ruthlessly efficient on the court.

pistol cut them all down to pieces at Wimbledon. most felt they had no chance against him.

even becker has said this about Sampras: becker said that "on a good day, you had no chance against Sampras  on any surface except for clay".

Emma's café rocks. you can even google "Emma's café" and this place comes up.

it seems like too many people have an agenda at tennis warehouse. its the same at MTF.

1/2 the people are too busy trying to convince the others that its Federer who is the greatest of all time.
its like a religion to them and the more people they can convert the better for them.

and the other 1/2--the nadal camp--is equally hell bent on convincing the federereeeeesian missionaries that its nadal who is the greatest of all time.

so invariably what ends up happening is that each side starts trashing the other party's player. and round and round they go. its just madness.
that is why I lose my patient with the trolls.

they just cant sit back and enjoy the sport.

que pasa embla.

its a lazy sunday here on the gulf coast. a bit on the foggy side with very light rain.

tennis season is over with now. some exos are coming up in south America so that is about the only tennis we will see.

we do have a tennis video section now so there are some matches there that people can enjoy.

abu dhabi exo will start on December 26th. andy murray will play Tsonga in the first match there if what I read is correct.

So many matches I need to see again before season starts up again.
I get a bit stressed thinking that the players never rest...

Think Rafa played Ferrer today.

I have no idea who is going to play which tournament early in 2014.
I was so into all the numbers, tournaments in 2013. Almost got sleeping problems following the matches outside europe. I have to try to take it a bit more easy, sleep more regulary... I have to always get up early.

Davis cup I never watched really. Even though the time difference to Serbia is good for me. Never felt any emotions for Davis.

I have family in san Francisco as well. last time I told you I have family in England and Switzerland. my cousin grew up and went to school in Southampton. he would marry a wealthy French woman and proceed to buy a real castle in france.

now they live in Switzerland. they have turned the castle into a bed and breakfast type of deal.

my dad's younger brother lives in san fransisco. he and his family like it there. we cant get them to move to the south.

so what is the name of that movie star in your avi? maybe I can try to reduce the size of the original picture if you can post it here. and then you can try reloading it.

it looks like rain here now.
it is a good day to relax, read, and to catch an old match or two.

I might start catching some old RG  and Monte Carlo matches if I can find them.

Tennis Warehouse is a big mess. Half the time people have no idea what they are talking about and it's full of silly threads. Are they all more or less kids? Because that would explain it. Tennis4U was like that too. Constant fight between the two groups. so many times I got involved that it didn't let me follow both Andy and Nole properly. It's just hard being on a forum these days. Things are now more or less on cult state and it's never good.

I could have had a better weekend plan when I decided to take Monday off but I am just going with the flow as I feel like it. I need some quiet time and perhaps tomorrow I will do just that. I like to meditate. Do Be, Do Be, Do Be, Do and Be!

here people can have their own boards and their own chat threads. no questions asked.

and we know more people will come in time. these things simply take time.

we are going to do some very unique things here. we are just taking small baby steps at the moment and trying to learn a few things.

I have a created a wish list center. this may come in handy in making improvements. we might be missing something.

this is a way to gauge the pulse of the folks and trying to learn what they would like to see here at Camelot.
