affirmative. Andy is one of the brightest ones out there. very articulate and very well spoken.

did you know that Rafa was the first one to call Andy and congratulate him when he won the Olympic gold medal?

they both have immense respect for each other. it is good to see that honest to goodness respect among two warriors.

I do know Rafa always quick to congratulate Andy and vice versa. They do have immense respect for each other. They have known each other since quite young and alot of trust between them. Shame they have not played each other since 2011 as they show great dignity to each other accross the net.

Andy was reared well by his parents and it shows.

same with Rafa. his parents also raised him to be humble, thoughtful, and modest.

Yes definitely parents upbringing is important. Having core family values keep your feet on the ground. Thanks for the link. Yes Andy sounding more positive there. I think he knows hes close to his best form and just wants it all to come together. Raonic could play Rafa. Rafa would relish that.

andy vs nole is going to be war. I think andy knows exactly what to do.

andy returns as well as anybody who has ever played the game. he has to keep doing that tomorrow and he has to take care of his serve.

that will put enormous pressure on Nole.

and Rafa does have to deal with Milos. that should be a good match. milos is playing well.

Agree on your assessment of Quarter Final matches. Happy its windy in Miami. That should suit Andy more.

Hi Anikh. I am very sad.

Andy had a shot at the first set but it was not meant to be. I think the story would have been different had he been able to snatch the first set.

nole is just a machine on hard courts. you have to play near perfect to gun him down.

I have a question: what the hell was Lendl doing in the stands if he doesn't have any time for Andy?

Yes Clay very sad too. Andy had his chances but just at the moment there are a few inconsistent moments. Yes I know Lendl still likes Andy as a person so wanted to support him but Andy perhaps does need fresh start.

andy will be just fine. he is still having to deal with the effects of such a protracted setback due to back surgery.

I think he is coming along just fine. a win would have been nice today but they will come if he keeps working hard and stay focused on the road ahead.

I am playing around with a twitter feed on the top of the page. not sure how to really add more feeds yet.

Ah the great Rodger fans. After all these years, after all that glory and what not, still unable to give credit where credit is due - in this case or in most cases, his opponents. Just a week ago, he apparently played 'a very poor TB' against Nole which apparently cost him the match. And today, he was simply being 'a clown' otherwise the match was on his racquet. Never mind the H2H. I mean who is Nishkori anyway. Oh and he's also suddenly 32 again.

This amusement and self satisfactory reasoning never ceases to exist. Alas.

Wake me up when such fans stop making one excuse after another after another after another...

well I missed the match so I have no idea what happened.

I heard Fed was serving great. evidently nishikori is a playah. he gave Rafa hell in Melbourne.

I am still sad from Andy losing today. this would have been a huge win for his confidence.
