Drunk driving is most common between the age of 21-25. I say offer them the option - if you are going to be drinking then you will not get to drive until you are 26. And if you would rather drive then no drinking at all between that time period. If they break the rule then not only suspend their license but also, fine them and let them do some jail time. All of this is very important for them to learn the consequences of drinking and killing innocent people.

One of my friend's brother was killed in drunk driving while he was crossing the street. His mom went crazy after hearing the news and never came back to live a normal life again. She eventually died of a heartbreak. The son was only 19.

Not sure if I want to watch the men's final tomorrow, really. This will be their 40th meeting. It's a bit much if you ask me. Sampras/Agassi met 34 times in their entire career. Quite likely that both Nadal and Nole will be meeting a lot more in the future. It's just that the rest of the players, minus Andy and Federer, are still very weak mentally and can't really make any difference or can't offer anything new other than a few upsets here and there - once in a blue moon. In the 90s, I would live in constant fear of upsets but the decade that followed had nothing of that sort. I am not at all a fan of the idea of the 'big 4'. I loath it in fact. It just does not make the sport tennis a very interesting game. It's predictable and boring. And that's just not my cup of tea.

So now I have the choice to spend the same two+ hours watching a movie or perhaps doing something I've put off for a while. I find their matches quite identical and predictable. But still it is probably a lot better than Federer/Nadal matches.

Clay season will probably be just as much predictable unless Nole or some other player make it more interesting. Quite ironic that Spain hasn't produced another great clay courter yet. It's been missing for a while now.

In any case, I'd like Nole to win of course.

evening emma. you have become quite a fan of the movies.

I agree: tom hanks is a genius when it comes to acting. streep is awesome too.

another actor who has taken acting and made it into a science: Daniel day lewis.

I have to take a road trip on Monday and tomorrow I am busy here during the day. I don't even know what time the final is taking place yet.

at any rate I will just have to catch it after it is played. we will have it at the global video center here soon enough anyway.

Hola her, I really love DDL but I think there are some actors out there who have the ability to slip into any character and DDL might just not be one of them. For example, I can't imagine him in a funny movie though he might just surprise me who knows.

I always watch movies though. Have seen a few thousands of them I am sure.

I will try to catch a movie on Monday night with the family. I am going to go see mom and dad on Monday.

they live right next door in Louisiana. I am on the mississipi gulf coast about 113 miles away from them.

we will do dinner and then kick back and catch a movie at home.

I am falling behind as I still need to catch a few movies: rise of the empire, the new Hercules movie, and the new great Gatsby.

It's tomorrow at 2:30pm EST time. If I am free then I will watch it. Their matches aren't very of high quality since there's a lot of tension involved since 2011 so I don't enjoy this matchup as much.

I do like Federer vs Murray, Federer vs Nole, Nadal vs Murray, Nadal vs Del Potro, Murray vs Delpotro etc. Actually I like most matchups except for Federer vs Nadal and Nadal vs Nole.

I do like to watch a lot of matches between the lower ranked players.

Are you driving? How long does take you to get there? A couple of hours maybe given traffic?

2 hours is all it takes since I stop for coffee along the way.

Andy is staying Miami for a day or so before heading to Italy for davis cup. he seems to be taking everything in stride. he says he is not far from where he needs to be:

I clearly don't do what I set out to do. I thought I'd watch a movie tonight but right now, I don't feel like it at all.

I am more of a spontaneous person, you know what I mean? When I plan things, I don't enjoy it as much. I enjoy it much better when I follow my heart and do whatever I feel like at that moment. I am totally random by nature and don't like any boundaries. That's also why I am not in a relationship! haha.

Yes, Andy is coming around. Would be nice to see some really nice and high quality matches. He did well in Miami but some of his opponents weren't playing as well. The 1st set of Nole/Andy was very good but then Andy exploded in the 2nd. I don't think he took that incident very well and lost motivation to win it in the end. Anyway, it was probably not meant to be. Andy, unlike some of his fans, doesn't hold grudges and moves on pretty quickly.

well it is the weekend so you have plenty of options.

just sip on a tall glass of wine and take in a documentary on the tele.

speaking of that, I too am going to have a very tall glass of red wine while I do some stock analysis.

I am fascinated by the medical marijuana based initiatives spreading all over the land like wild fire.

more legalization is also coming: Alaska, florida, and new jersey are likely to be the next states to legalize marijuana. and then there will be absolutely no stopping this movement.

all this is creating opportunities to make money in marijuana stocks.

davis cup win in Italy will do Andy some good. it will get him feeling good.

I think he is ready for the road ahead and all the challenges that he will be facing.

he has the hunger and the drive. that will propel him.
