Hola guys, my brother from Australia is here visiting me with his family and will be staying here for a few weeks so I won't be able to post during this period of time. We will be going out of country as well. Just letting you know in advance in case you guys look for me. I may pop by but chances are almost a few to none since I am already very busy.

I see Nadal is out of USO. I had  feeling about this though, herc but still, sorry about it. I see him being out for the rest of the tournament as well. I am sure the upcoming tournament will miss him a great deal since he's one of the top contenders and the defending champion.

Ciao until then! Take care.

P.S Hope TT is okay. Haven't seen her in a while. God bless.

Is she from ABBA? I vaguely remember their music, but do know how big they were at that time. I like Debbie Harry too. She was on What What Happens Live not too long ago, and she was such a delightful person. Very open, honest, and funny.

Yes, she is from ABBA and represents the first letter of ABBA. She's my favourite singer of all time. Debbie I will put third since I put the other ABBA member Anni-Frid as my 2nd all time favourite singer. I am really not the Whitney Houston or Celine Dion or Mariah Carey type. I prefer Duffy or Amy Winehouse much more. Not at all into Adel or Britney or Katie Perry or Beyonce etc. etc.

I mainly follow rock singers and they are mostly male. Music is my first love. Can't live without it!

I'm not into music much. But, my musical tastes tend to be on the eclectic side. I like Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Cher, Dolly Parton, and Roberta Flack.

Strangely, I've never bought much music from women, but tend to focus on male singers. The women that I like are empowering, I don't like songs about women pining after men.

I like those girls too, the ones you mentioned but as much as I listen to music, I have my own types. Different people different tastes etc.

ABBA girls are/were very empowering. They represented the 2nd biggest band of all time after all. And their voices are very different than the normal genre be it Cher or Madonna or Britney etc. They had the power to influence all generations from kids to old people and those who know ABBA very well know that, these two girls/Angels are gifts from God, because that's how it feels like when you listen to their voices/songs. They had the ability to sing a very dark song and yet, they'd make you feel like as if you are in Heaven.

I do remember ABBA being quite big, so much so that I knew some of their music, but I don't know the name of their songs. However, I do remember singing along to some of their songs, but it's been so long ago the names escapes me.

Not sure why you still can't see those, herc because I can see them all. I have two sets going on just in case so you should be able to see at least the attached ones.

Maybe either Anikh or TT can confirm later. There's not much else I can do right now. You would have liked the photos if you could see those. Ah well but it's possible your computer is from ancient time. lol

See, I just did a test run and I can see the pictures (not the attached ones) even when I am not logged on so it has to be your stupid computer. ;D

Ha ha ha. It's pretty bad when I can see the images. I'm having no problems at all. For a change.

I know, that's how cool Andy is. He doesn't fall for the dumb stuff. He's also brutally honest. Andy is a genius and many people don't understand his psyche. I agree that Andy would rather play an intelligent match rather than rely on attrition, flashiness, or physicality. That's the good thing about being a fan, understanding the player's psyche and approach to the game. I like a player when both of those things mesh. Everything about Andy's personality suggests he would play the game that way. It amazes me that people don't see that. Most importantly, Andy is in tune with himself, and that is a very attractive quality.

I thought that was stupid how people turned against Lleyton, but I feel it's because many people are easily influenced. Lleyton has always been honest, aboveboard, and respectful of his opponents. That goes a long way with me. In fact, that's the one trait that I despise the most, is when players are disrespectful of other players. Just play the game, I don't have time for mind games and manipulations. Even when they tried to blow up that "racist" comment with Blake, I thought they were being silly. Maybe he shouldn't said, but it was plausible that what he said really was true. Now, people are warming back up to him simply because the commentators have changed their tune. It amazes me how many people don't take the time to process anything and instead rely on others to do their thinking for them.

The WTA definitely was better back then, but what I do enjoy about the women's game is that many times you can't predict the result. Except for Serena, but Serena is in a class of her own.

This Friday I went to see Andy vs Tsonga and there was this 17/18 year old girl sitting with her dad just right next to me. She knew very little tennis as she couldn't tell what makes a double fault etc. but perhaps because of her father, who just might be more of a true tennis fan, she knew the players a bit. She was cheering Tsonga on but I am sure it was obvious to her that I was cheering Andy on. Anyway during the 2nd set we struck up a conversation as she had asked something and her father didn't know the answer so I had to volunteer since I knew the answer. As the conversation went on for a brief period of time she told me that the reason she was cheering Tsonga on was because she finds Andy 'grumpy'. I told her that I was a fan of Andy not because of the way he is on court but rather I am a fan of his game. I also told her that Andy isn't really 'grumpy' but the fact that he strives for perfection and when he makes mistakes, he gets a bit mad at himself. I had to tell her that in Federer's earlier days, he used to throw temper tantrum pretty much on a regular basis. But in any case we should like a player for who they are but not because how we like to see them.

I can tell you that girl wouldn't want to change a thing about her own self if others were to point that out. Anyway, her cheering became louder and louder as the match went on leaving me with a headache. lolol. She was just doing a bit much I thought. Luckly though, I had several kids sitting all around me and I had 5 guys (all friends I believe) sitting in front me and they were all pulling for Andy in a very big way. In fact, I was sitting in the midst of a lot of Andy fans. I realized after his Olympic, USO and finally, his Wimbledon win Andy has really arrived with his own fanbase. Back in 2010, when I was there to see Andy vs Rafa and Nole vs Roger, I didn't see half as many fans. That was so nice to see. Despite her loud cheering, it felt really great. She's still a kid though so I didn't mind it too much. She was there to have some fun and that's all she was doing.

Anyway, my point in all this is that, you don't judge people based on what you see. Seeing does not always tell you the whole truth.

As to Lleyton, yes, that Blake incident went really overboard and that's what made a lot of fans hate him back then, because they all thought Hewitt was being a racist. Even I felt the linsperson was favouring Blake on those calls and Lleyton felt so strongly about it that he just couldn't hold it for too long and had to point it out. He never meant to be a racist. I've seen mothers supporting their sons blindly who have committed murders. It happens. This sort of support happens in all races and religions in fact. I can point it out without being racist but it will be hard to get past the ignorant ones. I thought all those who hated Lleyton back then were all ignorant of the situation and took things out of context on purpose. Mainly because it really suited their arguments and they already didn't like him because of his 'come on's so this was just the perfect excuse to pour out some more hatred him. It was merely an opportunity for them and was never the truth. Tomic also gets a lot of hatred. People need to give these youngsters a break. In time they'll learn. Let's not be too quick to judge.

As far as WTA is concerned, I just don't like the type of game they play these days and that despite the tour being unpredictable. It just doesn't make a very good viewing for me.

I think you can judge based on seeing, but I also think you have to examine more than one aspect of a person or their personality. So to me to sum a person up in one word implies that you're being a bit narrow-minded. When people describe Andy as grumpy, Federer as elegant, or Rafa are physical, I think you're only seeing one part of the picture. For example, Andy can get down on himself during a match, but is also reflective immediately after a match showing his ability to move on rather quickly. He is also humorous, good-natured, kind, and respectful. So to lump a person into a one word adjective speaks of someone who is one-dimensional in their own thought process and prone to allowing others to do their thinking for them. Nah, I can't get with that.

I have the same experience, Emma, especially as it pertains to men. They usually spot it quickly and seem perplexed. But, I love it, because they understand very quickly that I won't be putting up with crap for the sake of having a man. It takes someone special to really pique my attention. Intellect is a number one priority. But, I have been very fortunate in the area of mates, (except for that last one). He wasn't a bad guy, but we were never going to be on the same page. He was too concerned with materialism and keeping up appearances. We get along very well, but never again.

In my other long term relationships I was extremely blessed. My first husband was the best person I have ever met in my life, and my first boyfriend ran a close second. My first husband died prematurely and TBH I don't think I would ever find anyone who measured up to him. He was that kind, funny, and considerate.

Wow, I say (the bolded) all the time. So many times people don't realize the difference between a female and a woman, or a man or a male. It does confuse the opposite sex when a woman has substance.

I must admit that I wasn't a single all this time. I was briefly married one time but I  had to end it because I didn't feel like being in that marriage anymore. He was a very good guy, honest, very good looking, tall etc. and he'd just let me be which was essential in my case but I didn't find him very intellectual or perhaps he just didn't want to come off as one. We were both in Dallas (USA) doing our MBA but I had to drop out as one of my family members died suddenly and I just couldn't cope mentally with it as I was closest to this family member of mine. Anyway, I feel that played a very strong part in that failed marriage as well. I needed to get out of it but quite interestingly, to this date, I never once felt the need to get married again. And I knew from the day I was born that I was never going to have children. That's not my purpose in this life so maybe that's also why I am not too keen on getting married again. People typically get married to raise a family etc. I am never interested in that aspect of life.

Too bad about your first husband. It seems like you were in a very ideal marriage but I guess his time was up. I can't blame you for leaving that guy. I can not tell how much materialism turns me off. I just don't see myself being with a materialist simply because I find the concept so utterly dumb. Materialists are typically intellectually dense people and are very much into superficial things. You can't possibly have a decent conversation with a materialist let alone an intellectual one.

I really enjoy being with guys. They talk about bigger things in life and can be very humourous. Women I feel are a bit too tight to joke about things and often they resort to talk about other people and I am not a big fan of that. I am really not into celebrities, gossips, holding hands etc. And I feel a lot of women are a lot about those - speaking from personal experience of course.

I do worship some women though as you can tell from my signatures. lol

This is why I like you, dear Emma. I feel the same way. I never, ever wanted to be married or have children either. I don't think marriage is for everyone, or having children. My friends are so confused by this and you cannot get people to understand it, so I'm glad that there's someone else on earth that understands it the way that I do.

It is ironic that I married twice, but it is because I felt that in each case I was supposed to marry both men. I was actually supposed to marry my first boyfriend, but when I saw how much time and preparation it took getting a minister, securing a place, blah, blah, blah, I just didn't do it.

My first husband, the only reason I did it was because my girlfriend did all of the arrangements. I would have gone to the Justice of the Peace and been done with it.

The second husband, I cried on my wedding day because I did not want to go through with it, but now, as I look at my life, I would be in a world of trouble if I had not of gone through with it. Weird, huh? But everything going on in my life right now was prophesied, so I'm glad that my spirit was open to it. And my son, is the only child I could have ever had, because he is not needy, independent, and we share a somewhat similar life perspective.

Anyway, you're the first person I've known to share these similarities and I am grateful for that. When I left my second husband I was so happy.. I don't understand those women who feel like they have failed. I felt like I had been released from a jail sentence, LOL.

I relate more easily to women, but not all the time because they want too much of your time. They want to call you to much and talk about nonsensical things. I actually prefer online forums, where I can talk when I want to talk and then shut down the computer.

The older I get, the more reclusive I am getting. I just like doing my own things without being beholden to anyone else, but I am a lot of fun when I do go out. I just don't have the desire to go out anymore. I like my life as it is.

Ah, the ABBA girls - voices of angels and cuties in their prime.  Both among my favourite female vocalists. I'll post more thoughts about them - but the thread will be in the Camelot Not Single but Married thread.  Nobody is allowed to post in there apart from me.

Ha ha ha. I am legally married, but separated. Does that mean I am allowed in the thread? I realize that there are rules, and then there are Camelot rules, LOL!

Technically, you should be allowed in, and luckily for you I'm a technical kind of guy.   Camelot security on the other hand... well, their decision making process can sometimes be based on emotion.  The bottom line is you might get escorted to the front of the queue with a VIP pass or you may get bundled into the back of a police van with riot police dogs snapping at your heels.

My suggestion to you is run with the "it's not what you know, it's who you know" kind of argument.  Let security know you're a friend of the baron and your stock rises significantly.  Then ask for Jeeves.  He's my personal servant and security will listen to him. Of course, that will depend on whether I can be bothered telling Jeeves your name to begin with.  A couple of nice pro-Federer posts here and there will go a long way toward jogging my memory on your friendship when I issue Jeeves with his daily orders.

Ha ha ha. Fabulous post. Too funny. Very creative I loved.

First step in the right direction.

Congrats to Federer for his fantastic run at the Cincy title. Once he got past Murray it was a done deal. Who thought David would put up a challenge? Amazing the way he is playing this late in his career.

How's that?

Hello! Just felt like saying hi again. Was travelling a bit but had to come back earlier because I can't seem to get rid of my tonsillitis. Actually I got back on Tuesday and haven't been out of bed for more than 2 hours since. Got my last batch of antibiotics today. It should be better by Friday next week or else I need to have my tonsils taken out asap.  :'(
