Of course not. It's herc. He's from the Medieval times. He's computer is made of wood. His monitor screen is as such that he can only see the reflection of himself. He can't fool us anymore.

herc darling, please admit like a man that the computer below belongs to you and for once you can see it.

ha ha ha ha. now that is funny lady emma. i can hardly stop laughing.

too good.

Oh but I've got some other stuff too.

Here's your bed. Is the side bed for the ladies? ;D

Are you implying that once CD is done, the ladies are relegated to the side bed?

Your food being cooked to be served later for dinner:

People you hang out with. Do you recognize some of them?

The clothes you usually wear. I like your pants. They are quite... exquisite.

And finally your Castles where you currently live. See, we have all figured you out. It's so cool that you operate directly from the medieval times. No wonder when you say you are 'in the ocean' and will post after you come back 'home'. I suppose the computer takes a while to reboot. ;D

i was thinking we might have to buy it for Emma. you know how she likes her space and privacy.

here with this ranch, she will not see anybody for 100 miles in any direction.

Find out if she likes it first. Emma seems to have eclectic taste. I'm not sure she'll go for this traditional look, but we'll see.

Yes, no traditional look for me please but I don't like it too modern either. So I stick to somewhere in the middle, say, contemporary with a bit of rustic look here and there.

Like for example, I like this rustic looking dining table.

Or this one. They add a lot of character.

Traditional feels old and modern feels characterless - at least to me. I will most like have quite a few rustic looking furniture in my house and perhaps I will have a few modern stuff, but they all must blend well.

I got all serious there, didn't I? Ha ha.

Great taste, Emma, as I suspected. I don't like the matchy-matchy stuff either. Sets of furniture made in the same style bores. I like the contemporary and rustic. It tells quite a story.

Hey everyone.
I don't really have time to read back (my internet connection at work is also way too slow, the pages take ages to load).

What a big surprise to see Cilic winning the USO. I was really expecting one of the usual suspects to claim the title. I'm happy that I was proven wrong.

Things are still the same here. Doing way better, the tonsillitis is gone, I'm back to working out. No news on the Lufthansa flight attendant jobs yet. They said that due to the high number of applications they would take a bit longer to schedule a phone interview with all the applicants who have passed the online tests. I assume all I can do now is sit and wait. On October 11 there is an open assessment for those who are interested in working with Emirates. I would consider working with them too even if it means relocating to Dubai for at least a few months.
For the first time in many months I don't have any concrete travel plans. Feels weird. I might just go to Paris for a few days at the beginning of October. I have seen some recent pictures and it still looks as beautiful as ever. I wanna go back there.  :D

Well, that's all from me. Maybe next week I have some more time to stop by from work. Fortunately I don't have that much to do at the moment. :D

Wow! I can't even imagine risking your life for something that isn't going to change the world. Evidently, these people enjoy the thrill of conquest.

Me? I'll just sit at home and watch.

Hallo and aloha. Dear lovers and losers. How are you all? I am sad to announce that our dear Summer has finally left us for the year or so it seems. Oh well. I do like Fall.

So have you been following any tennis lately? I am completely out of it at the moment. No tennis since the US Open and with the exception of Shanghai, Paris and WTF, I am very unlikely to pay any attention.

Not sure where Andy is or what's he's doing in the meantime. But the following article has surfaced on the net. Apparently the upcoming 'yes' or 'no' vote to Scotland's independence has lowered Andy's popularity almost by 12%. A bit predictable, innit. I mean what else can you expect from nationalists countries like England, Wales etc.?

See, this is not a problem for me because I most definitely don't care where Andy was born. Nor do I associate any feelings to my own country for that matter. My mom used to say, where you are born doesn't matter in life; what matters is what you become. But alas, a lot of people have a lot of growing up to do. Disgusting stuff I must say.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/tennis/andymurray/11096757/Scottish-independence-campaign-causes-11.9-per-cent-dip-in-Andy-Murrays-popularity-south-of-the-border.html

So this then brings the ultimate question, where's Anikh's stand in all this? Now that I've given my view on this, perhaps he'll side with supporting Andy? Ha ha. Or what about our dear baron? He's a bit of suspect here in my honest observation. I mean despite his lukewarm support of Andy from time to time, he already had so many problems with Andy. Doesn't mind taking a shot at Andy in the name of fun but how likely will that be in case of Federer? I mean I have yet to see him making any kind of fun of the god almighty Federer.

Tomorrow I will send you a PM, herc darling. Tonight I am too busy reading MTF, TW, TF etc. I haven't done so in ages. Just want to see the reactions of the so called fans and see who are genuinely happy for Cilic and acknowledge only those. ;D

I'll find plenty time tomorrow too and I need to get to back to some of the posts posted earlier on.

I know. I was curious about the final too. I wanted to see if it was an impassive crowd since none of the Big Four were there. Alas, I was disappointed, but found it rather funny. Especially since few had a stake in the match.

I also wanted to know the response to those people who constantly show TTC Best of Series, and what they thought about the The Best of Five Heartthrobs. Did you see that? The results were not at all what they expected, so of course, in light of all their braggadocio they were unusually quiet.

Hilarious.

I am sure once Federer got past the 4th round, a lot of Federer fans ended up buying the tickets for the final. And I am sure the ticket sale went through the roof once Nishi beat Djokovic in the qtr. I don't think there was any doubt in many Federer's fans mind that he was a lock for the final win. Of course Monfils might have cast some doubts among some objective Federer fans as Monfis did beat Federer twice before this qtr final meeting, but once that was over I don't think there was any doubt against Cilic against whom he had a 5-0 lead. Of course little did they pay any attention at the way Cilic was playing but to them, it was given. I mean the stars had all aligned nicely for Federer by that time. And if you had watched even a bit of Federer/Monfils match, then you'd know the kind of support Federer had at this Open. I have no doubt at least 70% of the crowd were Federer fans supporting Nishikori in the final. What else can they do? No one was going to buy those expensive tickets and they couldn't just throw them out, so they had to go. At least they had some interest left in Nishikori. They couldn't possibly be behind Cilic because he took their idol out and in straight sets. No one saw that one coming either.

No, I didn't see the TTC Best of Series.

Here's how it went in the US as far as TV ratings were concerned. The article is wrong in one place though because Nishikori didn't upset Djokovic in the semi but oh well, I don't think these reporters watch tennis all that much anyway. The women's final saw lower rating as well which is a bit surprising given Serena's status and nationality.

http://www.ibtimes.com/us-open-2014-mens-final-tv-ratings-cilic-nishikori-struggle-draw-viewers-cbs-bows-out-1683116

"The 2014 U.S. Open will be remembered for many things, particularly the media coverage. CBS bowed out after 47 years of covering the famed tennis major with one of the lowest rated finals in history. With a match lacking tennis’s big names and beginning at 5 p.m. EDT on a Monday, there was little surprise that Marin Čilić’s straight-sets victory drew just a 1.9 overnight rating, down 32 percent from Rafael Nadal’s win over Novak Djokovic last year, reports Sports Business Daily. It was also less than half the 4.0 rating drawn by the women’s final between Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki, played on Sunday."

Of course Monday final doesn't attract viewers to begin with. Monday is not a favourite day for many people especially for those who have day jobs. I mean who wants to watch a men's final on a Monday at 5pm? So the rating has its own downfall written all over it to begin with. Also, tennis is not all that popular in the US. I mean why was there a lower rating for the women's final given that it was played on Sunday?

Things are changing however next year when the finals will be played on Sunday and semis on Friday. And the first round matches will be played over two days instead of three. Not sure when they are getting the roof on the main show court but that only helps top players and I am not a big fan of that.

Here's your bed. Is the side bed for the ladies? ;D

Yes, they are I'm afraid. It's hidden bed after all. I mean look how quiet he is on this matter. lol

And while I am at it, what are the chances of Nikki being from the same medieval times as well? I mean is it any wonder that they (herc and nikki) are 'Facebook friends'? Or are they?

Now the most important question is, is she relegated to the ahem...side bed or hidden bed as well? Ok, ok, I don't wanna go too far with this. Just having some fun at their slow computer's expense. Chances are, they probably won't be able to even read my posts. I mean by the time they download the whole page they'll probably also be done with their own patience. Hee hee.

It was funny to see that Toronto's Edge Walk made the list. I did a project called Online Auction not so long ago and there we had a quite a few tickets for the Edge walk. We had crazy bids on those and they sold out like crazy. So there are lots of adventurous people out there but mostly younger people I take it. Very few in their middle age and beyond would go for such risky adventures. I remember those who bought those tickets were mostly parents buying those for their sons and daughters. lol I do feel the edge walk is least intimidating among the ones in the list, wouldn't you agree?

I do like scuba diving a great deal. Rock climbing doesn't attract me much.

I do think the Brits are nuts when it comes to their sports but otherwise they are pretty good. Very knowledgeable and tend to stay fair in my opinion.

Same here, after the USO I'm pretty wiped out tennis wise. I'll watch the rest of the Master's Series, not sure about the WTF though. I'm not a fan of the, you can lose one and still win format.

It's pretty silly. Will they go back to their 70-something year drought of not having an English winner, if so, Scotland broke the duck and not them.

Agreed. Many Fed fans around the web were ecstatic with the removal of Nole, but tennis is a sport, and as such it has to be played on the court. I never take any match for granted because tennis players are people too, and sometimes you wake up and feel like crap and can't shake the feeling. So, until two players get on court, it's best not to assume a win is a given.

Cilic was playing lights out, but I wasn't sure Federer would be able to lift his game that significantly after that showing against Monfils. Monfils gift-wrapped that match, but when he played at a decent level he was killing Fed. Cilic was bursting with confidence, so I thought that would be a tough match regardless.

Also not surprised about the TV ratings in the US either. They only promote Rafa, Fed, and Djokovic. You can't expect the rest of the unheralded tour to fill the seats when you barely mention them, so...And even as a Serena fan it was hard to watch another stroll in the park final. I never thought Woz had a chance and apparently many others didn't think so either.
