look at you Diane. you are an old hand already at Camelot.

post away until your heart is content.

little later I will create a special thread for you where you can come and go as you please. you can create something there or post images of savannah, Georgia. or just do whatever your heart pleases.

you can come and go anyway as you please. Camelot is a quiet, peaceful heaven that we have built for a few special people.

we all just stop by when we can. some have more time on their hands some not enough. it is just a busy world we live in.

most of us tend to lead busy lives.

Diane feel free to check out other places here at Emma's café or anywhere else at Camelot.

Emma loves Marilyn Monroe. that is a cool thread here.

as you can see, she has varied interests. it is not all tennis here. she is also into music, literature, science, and so many other things.

sooner or later you will meet lady TT. she can show you around her place here at Camelot.

I woke up to find out Andy was serving for the match at 40-15. How cool is that? Though I was surprised that the match was still going on (or was I?) but it was a pleasant surprise since I got to see the final point won by Andy with an ace.

Was more happy to avoid the roller-coaster in the final set. As I understand, Andy broke Ferrer early in the 3rd set only to get broken back immediately and from that point on, it was pretty much WTA tennis. But perhaps it wasn't as bad as the Miami final. Ferrer did miss his chance to close out the match at 5-3 but that's probably because Andy's ongoing persistent and Ferrer's own lack of confidence against a great returner like Andy.

These two just bring out the worst in each, unfortunately. It just somehow becomes who can hold the nerves the most in the deciding set, especially lately.

Andy's serves weren't a complete disaster as he had 9 aces and 2 DFs; however, he had about 18 breakpoints against him but was able to save most of those. Despite serving 3 aces with no DFs and 1st serve at 69%, he still got broken 3 times - had 7 breakpoints against him - saved 4.

So anyway, though it was a massive choke-fest by both especially in the final set, a win is a win. Very happy for Andy that he was able to fight off 3-5 down and was able to finally hold his serve in the final game quite comfortably. He's now 8th on the WTF race and 10th overall ranking.

Andy's worst year in his career is probably not looking too shabby after all. He made 3 qtr-finals at the AO, Wimbledon and USO and semi at the French. Won 2 titles and 30 career titles overall. Only 4 other active players have won 30 and more titles (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Hewitt). Nole is still 16 titles ahead of Andy not to mention 5 Slams and the precious No. 1 ranking. I mention that because they really have similar games however mentally Nole is so above Andy and that's really where lies the major difference. Wish Andy had more belief in himself and in his abilities. That would have closed down the gap between him and Nole. Oh well. It is what it is.

Hewitt too has reached his 30 titles this year at age 33. I am so happy for him too. If Andy continues to play and stays motivated then I do see him win at least 50 titles by the age of 33. Nole will probably get his 50 titles just next year.

I think Andy is making his move Emma.

this title was absolutely vital. it is the start of something big from my vantage point.

now we need the title in Valencia too.

he is just putting off the surgery which is a matter of surgical emergency.

don't know why he is doing this since it is so risky to compete with this condition.

for instance, it can lead to sepsis and other complications.

also by waiting until after London, he will be forced to miss the Australian Open.

what the hell is he trying to prove by going to Switzerland? he will win 2 matches at best or may not even win one.

antibiotic treatment had to be heavy so the body is already weakened significantly.

Why would he put the surgery off, herc? I thought or was told by many Rafa fans that it's Uncle Toni who gets to decide everything as far as Nadal is concerned. His book even implies that. Surely then Uncle Toni would have some say over such serious matter? Is he going with the same decision then?

Anyway, this is such a routine and simple surgery though. I don't have the stats available but I know that it's a very common procedure. Andy's back surgery was far more career threatening - something that he had to put it off until he won Wimbledon. He played through the back pain all these years. Nadal has no reason to go through that so it's rather baffling. And his entry in Basel makes no sense.

I heard he's withdrawn from WTF. Is that confirmed? Why play Basel then? So stupid, honestly, if true.

Hola herc, Valencia might be tricky. More matches with only 1 day off (tomorrow) and Ferrer and Berdych in succession if things go as they go on paper. But of course, both Ferrer and Berdy will be equally tired so there's that tiny glimpse of hope. He might get it. He looked very happy today and that was very good to see.

Hi everyone glad with Andy win as always tough to win a title against someone like Ferrer. Had some family health issues which are ongoing but looking to work my way back online.

Hola Anikh, it's good to see you back. It's so sad to see that you don't miss us much but we still love you. :)

Anyway, speedy recovery to all those who are having health issues in your family.

I am there! Thanks! :D

Hola Diane! Hope you enjoy your stay here at Camelot. Please feel free to post anywhere you please and never feel otherwise. We have other members here and they have their own boards as well. You can post there and have your own at the same time. We are a tiny family with different views. Nothing is ever personal - not from me anyway - so no matter what I say in any of my posts, they are never personal and from a very neutral standpoint.

And nice meeting you. :)

Yolita just joined Camelot. I told her about you and Emma's Café.

she loves Nole. she said she will stop by here at your place.

Yep, duly noted. Let her feel comfortable first and post wherever she pleases. Let her know about TT's board as well.
