Hi herc, would like to take a break though I should say this forum truly feels like home.

No, I haven't checked out the video section yet. My internet connection is slow tonight. I was doing some research online but it's just too damn slow.

check your pm emma.

yes some days the connection is slow here too. it has to be the servers.

looks like we hit the 40 mark emma. now on to the 100 mark.

that will be an achievement.

and by all means emma. take a little break if you need to.

there wont be much happening in the tennis world after tomorrow. I think there are a few exos scheduled from south America that nadal and nole are taking a part in.

I am sure those exos will be televised all over the world considering it is #1 vs #2. not sure about the exact dates at this time.

well we got the big man on tennis match videos. his service to Camelot will be invaluable.

now we need a retired pro to set up shop at the main page. it can be his own Q & A thread. people can ask him/her questions and they can be answered when the retired pro passes through or when ever he/she has the time to answer them.

I wanted Pat Cash but he is way too busy. we will have to go after somebody really old who is too old to be too busy.

anyway did you see andy murray interview with jonathan ross? "the truth" posted it.

andy is planning to be at the Australian open. it is less than 2 months away.

andy is also scheduled to play Tsonga on decmber 26th in abu dhabi.

The slow connection problem I am having is definitely with the one I have at home. Anyway, it's slightly better now.

I have yet to see that Jonathan Ross video but I read about it. Will check it out tomorrow.

I need to thank you for this forum. It really is special at least to me. It's the perfect gateway from all the other forums that talk about the same thing over and over again.

I just replied to your PM. I will go now because my connection is really slow and it's taking me ages to post and I don't feel I'll be able to watch the movie I was planning to, so I should go and do something else that doesn't involve the internet.

this is home emma. and it is your home. a home that you built truly from scratch.

and it really does offer a very unique proposition: there are zero confrontations here and there is zero stress here.

people come and go as they please and they do anything they please when here.

also they can have their own chat threads or they can have their own boards. or they can have both.

and the best of all, there is no moderation. there is nothing but freedom at Camelot.

people can not only have their own separate boards here to follow their players, they can pursue or follow any other interest or hobby they may have here. and they can invite their friends to join them.

so we will keep tinkering with various ideas so as to make Camelot a memorable experience for everyone that passes through here.

I think the non tennis dimension is equally important in the long run here. people need a diversion also or they just might not be a huge followers of the sport of tennis.

yes, no confrontation therefore, no stress. once people grow up and learn to except different views only then a forum becomes bigger than its posters - until then, it's same old same old. different wrapping but same content.

This is Heaven and there's no place for pretentious attempts here. no worshipping.

affirmative. there is so much noise and so much fighting going on at some of the bigger forums like MTF, one has to wonder if anybody is listening to anyone.

I mean if you want to be listened to and attended to then it is nearly impossible at a forum with 25,000-30,000 members.

and right now it is just the nadal camp vs the Federer camp vs the nole camp.

or it is just the nadal camp vs Federer camp. one tends to get weary of all that at some point.

most of the times all you get is attacks and counter attacks.  and insults and counter insults. it never ends.

sipping fresh coffee and watching some davis cup.

nole is basically unbeatable at the moment. he is serving simply too well and returning even better.

nole simply does everything too well on the court.

there are zero glaring weaknesses in his game at the present.

The ongoing bickering has always been between Federer and Nadal fans no matter where it takes place, herc. Nole just got caught in the middle. Federer fans desperately need him because he's stopping Nadal from winning more Slams and a lot of the Nadal fans don't like Nole because again for the same reason. So essentially it's a fight between hate and hate. There's no true love for either of the players involved here because, true love doesn't come with conditions. You don't care who does what. You just love and support your player regardless and you keep your focus on that. Did I like it when Federer broke Sampras' record? Not at all but that had more to do with the fact that, I wanted Sampras to enjoy his records for a bit as he had worked really hard for it. He was devastated after his Coach Tim died of brain cancer and he wanted to do everything for him. I thought he deserved it. But since then on though, Federer fans don't miss a chance to sneeze at Sampras and once and if and when Nadal surpasses Sampras, some of them will start sneezing at him as well. It comes with the fans territory after all.

And no matter where you go  you will see that most of the Fans are Federer fans, mostly fair weather fans - bandwagoners if you will. They lack genuine tennis knowledge, they are overbearing and downright insulting no matter what shape and form they come in. When you start exposing these players it then becomes another story. This is the reason why I had to leave Murray's forum because I was exposing JJ and Prod didn't like it, so he changed the subject, took a 180 turn on me and brought up a subject that had nothing to do with anything. All of a sudden it became personal because the change of subject matter was so drastic. And the reason why he did that had everything to do with the fact that, he didn't like what I had to say about Janowicz. But he was creating panic among Murray fans re: the upcoming potential semi-final match between Murray and JJ at Wimbledon. I was simply showing why and how JJ wasn't a threat but of course, Prod felt the need to hype up JJ regardless but once he turned the table on me, he was successful because then the obnoxious Murray fan called Connor or GangstaMurray showed up and took a shot at me. Connor even said that I didn't belong at Murray's World but a bit later he deleted that portion but I already saw it. I had heard similar sentence from another Murray fan who was also a Federer fan and that had more to do with that, but still. So as much as I love Murray, I had to leave that place immediately because you don't want to promote such behaviour by sticking around and putting up with it on a daily basis. And I never had any desire to kiss anyone's ass anyway. Even my boss has no power over me because I tend to speak my mind and I am fair in my assessments.

And you know how things went at Tennis4U. Alex, Babbs and even Luggy they all hate Murray and Alex tend to become very personal when he doesn't get proper attention and when Nole loses to Murray, so that forum is not ideal for any fan who's not a fan of Federer or Nadal. And Nole to lesser extent.

Of course, Nadal has quite a few fans who are just as bad if not worse. Both Nole and Murray have some obnoxious fans as well but because most of the fans are taken by Federer and rest by Nadal, they are a few and far between.

What it does in return, all this obnoxiousness, it doesn't make one's experience on forums either enjoyable or memorable. Since Friday, I have found that at least 70% fans at Tennis Froniter are Federer fans. Rest belong to Nadal and perhaps 2 or 3 fans of Nole. And one fan of Murray.

I told you herc before that I don't enjoy being on forums and hate the idea of hanging out with these so called obnoxious fans. More importantly, I don't have to be here if if I have choices and I do. Right now, I am here for the sole reason that you are a good friend who always had a lot of respect for me and I am trying to help you out with this forum.  Generally, I don't like human beings because most of them are driven by negative emotion - be it jealousy, greed, lust, power etc., so I am selective in my choices when it comes to that. My worst nightmare is when I doubt a person who's pretending to be nice but in reality, it's probably quite the opposite. Well anyway.

Two very tight sets win by Nole as suspected. Can Berdy come back? I don't think so. Nole is the clutch player and has the ability to turn things around when he's down, not Berdych.

Speaking of clutch, I think I need to rewrite that. I used to rate Sampras at the top followed by Nadal but now I rate Sampras followed by Nole and then Nadal. Nole has turned things around too many times that it requires attention.

But that list only involves players from the 90s to now. I didn't see any of 80s or 70s etc. so I wouldn't know who were equally mentally tough but judging by some of their reputation, it won't surprise me if the list involves Laver, Borg and Lendl. What do you think?
