One thing I found out about Tennis Frontier very recently is that, it is too full of Federer and Nadal fans and that's frankly, never a good thing. Tennis4u is and was just the same. At least at Murray's World, one could avoid all that nonsense and concentrate on other players. Any forum has got to be the best forum that doesn't deal with Federer and Nadal fans only, simply put.

Anything baron has to say, he can say straight to my face.

Of the Top 40 posters based on post counts, there are 12 Nadal fans, 7 Federer - so on those stats it's less than 50%, although probably more like 60%-70% if excluding WTA fans.  As they have the biggest fanbases, you wouldn't really expect anything much different.

Anyone would be fool to think that any forum is not mostly made up of Fedal fans. One look at the ATP threads anywhere, apart from particular players' forums, and you get the picture.

baron's troop needs to learn to debate first before I need to sharpen up. Can't even present facts just some blind worshiping and nonstop twisting of facts. I am neither a Federer fan or a Nadal so I have no selling point here, so I don't mind exposing anyone's weakness if I feel like it. I just don't like people making blanket statement like Sampras was not even average on clay. Well, at least you know who's what. And let baron know that I've spent all my life posting on forums like CNN, Worldcrossing so I know how to tough it out if anything but whether I want to still do it especially against a bunch of idiots that is the question.

The part you had most disagreement with people over was Sampras' standing on clay courts.  Most disagreed with you from all fanbases including other Sampras fans.  The thread was about Murray and then moved onto Sampras... Are you sure you didn't have a dog in the race?

No, I don't have a dog in the race. I don't care for such nonsense. I was there at first to defend Murray. The evidence is still there if you care. Whatever happened afterwards was strictly circumstantial - a case of one thing leading to another. It happens unless Federer fans are completely oblivious to it.

And which other Sampras' fans disagreed with me? I'll be damned if there's any true Sampras there like me.  Kieran and Tented may like Sampras but they are much bigger fans of Nadal and that will always downplay Sampras and overplay Nadal. And Kieran didn't even disagree with me as far Sampras was concerned. In fact, he gave 'likes' to most of my Sampras related posts. To be even more honest, my conversation with him was much more pleasant and we both stayed within reasons and on course, while discussing Murray and Nadal on grass. And I don't remember any posts from Tented so whoever these Sampans fans are, I have successfully missed them. The conversation took a different turn when I started talking about Federer and his so called achievements on clay. If anything, I have presented all my posts with real information, facts etc. There was no speculations or assumptions there from my side unlike the fans who tried to defend Federer.

And I have showed over and over again that Sampras wasn't bad on clay at all as it's made out to be by some desperate fans. I never said Sampras was great on clay; that was implied by Federer fans as usal. In fact, I said he was good enough to beat the likes of Muster, Corretja, Muster, Bruguera, Courier, Agassi etc. in his time. The competition on clay was overall just higher than now. For a decade or so, the clay season has only seen 1 or 2 players competing at the top level and that opened up all sorts of possibilities therefore, results. For all I know, from 1998 to 2004, Federer got beaten by the likes of Guga, Corretja, Lorna etc., all clay courters. Rome wasn't built in a day and I wasn't born yesterday. So it would be a fail attempt to convince me otherwise.

my own observations suggest that 100% of the forums that are large and or considerably large are mostly Federer oriented. and not only that, even the forum owners and forum admin --on the average--tend to be Federer oriented.

fed fans simply outnumber nadal fans around the globe. they also outnumber andy and nole fans.

it is the same in the cyber world.

take tennis4you for example. it has around 4000 members. they have always been Federer oriented. the owner is a huge fed fan and his 2 global moderators are huge fed fans.

MTF has always been wild about Fed. Fed fans there greatly outnumber the nadal fans. admin, mods, and the super mods have always--on the average--tended to be Federer oriented.

and as a side note, I do tend to find some of the Fed fans to be arrogant, snobby, nasty, mean spirited, and relatively selfish at these various forums.

I said some of them so certainly not all of them.

take masterclass and javi. they like Federer but they are pretty cool about it.

fed fans at tennis warehouse and at MTF are fairly nasty.

Does baron conveniently forget that I'd decided to leave TF after they deleted half of Castles posts and gave us warnings about this or that? The only reason I went back was because I don't have access to Camelot through work and I made it very clear. And I wasn't even going to stay there for long because my first love is Camelot and it will always be that way. My stay there was going to be temporary anyway or at least I wasn't going to post on a daily basis. I just got into this argument that started out very lightly at first but once I realized half them weren't making any sense and weren't providing any supporting data to their claims, it just became a completely moot point for me to stay there and continue to 'debate'. But of course, if I were to drool over Federer and Nadal then that would have been very well received. This is the reason why I don't want to be on any forum that crawls with these two's fans.

You're entitled to post where you please but just a correction - half the castle posts were not deleted.  I think Sid had two deleted and somebody else had two deleted.  That's four.  Sure, some mistakes were made moderating because the earlier policy on stopping feuds spilling over from other boards had been taken too literally.  That was addressed very quickly and changed.

Seven pages of posts were later moved into the Tennis Frontier Chat forum because that was where they had been posted originally before being transferred into the Castle board. They were transferred back when the Castle ended.

I had about 60 to 70 'likes received' when I left the forum, and when I went back to the forum again for the 2nd time, I had about 21 left. What happened to the other likes - unless those posts were deleted? Can you give me an explanation?

And thanks to  your compliments btw. I will try my best to stick to chit chat threads only. After all, I am not too bright to post on ATP and WTA threads. I will just serve coffee here and drool over Federer in my spare time instead.

looks like general Sid drove by Camelot today but probably did not have enough time on hand to stop by and come inside.

But of course, if there are 100 tennis fans out there, then 70% of them are Federer fans. All the forums, apart from the players' forums, are dominated by Federer fans.

affirmative. i am sure that vamos brigade forum is all nadal fans.

i am a member of the andy murray forum. these type of player specific forums will usually have fans of only those particular players.  that is to be expected.

i am not sure i am sold on baron's story. i see a lot of federereeeeeesians there.

masterclass, slasher, ashwin, darth fed, baron himself, and countless others are all Federer oriented. and if some of the others are not crazy about Federer, they still cant stand nadal.

he is accused of doping and they say he is so lucky. so lets not kid ourselves. there is considerable hate for nadal, andy, and nole.

i think our hardest work is done now emma. we have made significant strides already in such a short period of time.

it is quite exceptional really to be honest with you.

the foundation is in place. there is plenty here now for folks to enjoy. there is this certain air here now that we are all free and flexible to roam as we please. there are no rules and no guidelines. there is certainly no moderation. people can create a million threads or they can go off topic until the cows come home. all that matters is that they are able to be themselves and have fun.

the structure will forever evolve  as it should so we can find the best possible format.

now we hang back and relax. slowly and surely more people will come as the good word about Camelot spreads.

^ Doesn't really matter whether you are sold on it CD because I'm not selling an opinion just providing facts.

At a handcount of the Top 40 posters on there, more are Nadal fans - AntiPusher, Kieran, Moxie, Tented, Broken Shoelace, huntingyou, shawnbm, zalvar, rafanoy1992, fashionista, CD and the short stay of Nadal2005RG.

Don't know if you had 60 or 21 but the figure shows 45.  No posts other than ones I mentioned were deleted out of the Castle.

I don't mind if any forum is Federer oriented because he does have a lot of fans, there's no denying in that. Agassi used to have many fans; if there were 20 Sampras fans at CNN then there would be 100 Agassi fans - give or take, mostly fair weather glory hunters etc. Where are they now anyway.

there you are. man i have not seen you in ages.

i made some goofy post for you earlier about a rickshaw. you will see it a few posts back.

i am not all that familiar with some of those folks baron. don't know much about zalvar, fashionista, rafanoy and the like.

whatever happened to that nadal2005rg character? did he find another forum to carry on the message for nadal?

anyway i have some great news for you baron: general swortennis is one of the authorities on boxing. he has fired up a boxing board.

i know you have very equals in terms of boxing knowledge also so feel free to enjoy the boxing board.

i did not get to comment on those 2 movies: shawshenk redemption and terms of endearment. i will have to check up on those 2 movies.

Did Federer fans kill Kennedy as well?  The harshest words for your stand on Sampras came from huntingyou.  Last time I checked he was a Nadal fan.  I made it clear I didn't think Pete was terrible on clay - I think he was an average clay courter who had some good results.

Not that I care but 45 is the recent addition due to some of my Murray posts and rest belongs to Sampras related posts - generous courtesy by Kieran. It was 20 or 21 I went back. This doesn't matter but it did tell me all those posts were perhaps deleted. I still don't care however.  I was trying to make a point.
