I just joined a forum with 46,000 people and they have no more than 3-4 people posting all day.


there is basically no tennis at the moment and also its the holiday season with Christmas just days away.


one other fact that might startle you:


almost 100% of the new small forums fail. this is precisely why we will make it.

I relish those kind of odds. impossible is nothing.

in fact impossible is nothing to the few folks we do have here at Camelot. strong positive belief and a relentless iron will is all you need. rest usually takes care of itself.



some of the biggest forums are taken over by companies that have the money to spend. they also have been around for a few years. this why MTF and tennis warehouse have the activity.

but it is garbage as far as I can see anyway.

I just took a look at tennis warehouse for example: they just cant stop talking about who the hell is the greatest. every thread or every other thread turns into that GOAT garbage.

most of the trolls are hard at work: they are busy tearing into nadal or they are busy tearing into Federer.

that crap bores me to tears.

mtf is even worse. it is overrun with legless, toothless prepubescent chimpanzees who cant hate nadal enough.

prepubescent chimps who are also dying for attention of one kind or another.



this is why I think we will make it. we offer a fresh new approach.

Hi herc, which new forum did you join? Well, I suppose since there aren't much activities tenniswise these days, the discussions are bound to get like that.

Sampras was 6'1" so I don't think height is what required as far as the serves go. Sampras 2nd serve involved high risk but then again he had a lot more confidence in it so it worked out for him most times. I don't think Andy feels as confident about his serves especially about his 2nd serve. He's usually a bit conservative with it.

I joined tennisoplis which has around 46,000 members. I joined only so I can recruit for Camelot.

and I will do that there when the opportunity presents itself.

I think realistically we can get around additional 150 members in 2014. that makes for 200. and maybe we can grab another 100 in 2015.

300 is all we need. that is such a perfect number. and it is a magical number.

Camelot is going to be fun anyway but with 300 it will be a lot more fun. that means a little more activity and more folks can just do their thing here.



pete had the best serve that I have ever seen. never have I seen such perfect mechanics on a serve.

being tall certainly helps. andy is almost 6 foot 4. I am convinced that he can have a dominating serve with more work.

he has no problem hitting a serve in the 135 MPH range.

now the time has come to learn better placement and also that 2nd serve can be a lot better.
