emma we will most likely end up with about 300 people here by the end of 2015.

that is more than good enough and that is all we need.

that is a perfect Camelot family of brave, kind, and courageous warriors and warrior princesses.

I don't know what your ideas are about the optimal size but 300 is a perfect number for me anyway for Camelot. I am not sure if I would ever want to be much bigger than that.

we will be small and strong. that is my vision anyway.

que pasa general sid.  ;D ;D ;D

I will be very happy to see andy win the Doha event. I will certainly be rooting for both andy and rafa obviously.

sid check out our "the great andy murray center". we got the ball rolling anyway there.

now we will try to build that center over time.

we are also trying to build and add content for "the great Rafael nadal center".

The Truth, lady Embla, and I are trying to add content to the Rafa center.

hopefully some Federer and nole fans will want to do the same thing at their centers. we have a Federer center and also a nole center in place here.

that is a great point.

there are some self-regulating mechanisms at work at Camelot Emma. nature's invisible hand is at work at Camelot.

the people here are unknowingly setting one hell of an example for those who may be prone to irrational, abnormal, and unreasonable behavior.

we also have God's presence here so there is some sense of wanting to do the right thing at all times.

Camelot is also very clean. we even have something for the kids here which we will continue to build in time.

smelly, legless, gutless rats don't like clean places.

they can never find a market for their crap here. I know for a fact that I will never ever respond or dignify some stray troll's remarks here at Camelot.

I am actually not keen on banning people but sometimes there are times when extreme situations require extreme measures. For example that Alex situation at Tennis4U. And when people simply tend to post with the specific intention of trolling or for the purpose of upsetting people.  But that also gives you an opportunity to show as to how good you are at handling difficult situations. Most people can't handle that. I've seen it time and again.

I personally exercise very high tolerance. I either choose to avoid or look past etc. but then again, that sometimes sets people off and make them do even more until you turn your utmost attention to them. You almost always know what they want.

It's very hard to handle people when the forums have far too many members. For me, right now, being on forums is less stressful since I only subscribe to this forum and most of the time, I like to just mind my own business by being on different threads on Emma's Worlds. Whether people read those threads or not, agree with me or not, has no affect on me. The fact that I can post my own stuff without being interrupted 10 times a day makes more than happy.

Hola Siddy, very good to see you here buddy. Zayed was probably very nervous. Mayer will be more of a test as he's quite experienced and will not be nervous against Andy. So let's see how Andy does there tomorrow. Of course fingers crossed that he continues to improve just so that he can be ready for AO.

excellent post. there are 3-4 really toxic and bogus characters. with alex and freaky being among those. I know for a fact that they would try to wreck and destroy this forum. they would like nothing better. they pretty much know that they are not welcome here and that they would be eliminated rather instantly.

other than that, I am thinking like you are thinking. let people be themselves here and let them enjoy themselves.

check out the Camelot mission statement for example:

I have absolutely zero desire to get in anybody's way here. people can do anything they please.

here we all tend to do our own thing and nobody really bothers anybody.

sort of a like a shopping mall with everybody having and owning their own shop.

and we have the coolest chat thread on the planet: Emma's Café.

folks can always gather at the café, relax, and sip fresh coffee. café is open 24 hours a day.

in fact the whole place is set up like a chat thread. we just don't care what you talk about and at which thread.

we are just glad that you are talking.

the "Camelot Sports Show in Progress also is a bit of a chat thread. a random chat thread, that is.

So who is doing what tonight?

well I was out all day yesterday. all day on the road while traveling to and around baton rouge, Louisiana.

I think I was up for over 20 hours straight. I could not sleep for some reason when I got home late last night.

I need to rest and relax today. I am doing some things with some people tomorrow morning and afternoon:

we will start out with coffee at starbucks and then later drinks and lunch.

How come you are on the road all the time? Are you a door to door sales person by any chance? I am kidding!

Sorry about you not getting sleep last night. Try not to consume any alcohol tonight before going to bed. That should put you to sleep immediately.

I am drinking some sparkling wine tonight but not too much.

I am usually out and about enjoying myself emma.

did you forget that I have an MBA and a Masters in Economics?

I just consult when I feel like it. usually it is a govt. agency. translation: I don't work much. I just enjoy life as I know how short and fleeting it is.

you just wish I was a door to door salesman.

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Economics? That is one of the hardest subjects I've ever encountered. I didn't get it, at all. Those two classes drove me nuts.

Your lifestyle sounds groovy, lol.

We should all be so lucky.

thanks lady TT.  I am lucky.

gods have blessed me with incredible health.

good health and happiness is all that matters. rest usually takes cares of itself.

lets hope it stays that way forever and ever.

 ;D ;D ;D

I just posted a short highlight video of nadal vs rosol match at the "Rafael nadal show".

I saw one of your live score posts and went and watched the match on livescorehunter. I was so happy.

Your mission statement is awesome, (and true).

Well done!

we continue to move in the right direction.

it takes time for a forum to grow. nearly 100% of the new forums are failing today:

it is very difficult to compete against facebook, twitter, and very large forums that are owned by companies.

but we will grow and prosper because of the fresh, new, innovative approach. and our mission statement is the first one that I have ever seen for a forum. it legitimizes our function and it guides our behavior to some extent. it lets us know that we are just going to let people be themselves and just let them enjoy themselves.

it is cool and comfortable here. people can go to any part of Camelot and just do their own thing.

everybody is a master of their own destiny here.

everybody is welcome and free to create their own boards and make million threads here if they please. they can create and build content for some idea that they might want to pursue.

Good morning.

Well, my new year started waking up to Andy's match (always a great sight) and then watching him lose (always a bad sight), in a nutshell.

Other than that, I am well and dandy. And once again, Happy New Year to our dearest Andy and to you all. :)

I may have a serious case of ADD. I kid you not. Last night I was with friends and sister, and at one point, I realized I wasn't paying any attention to anything they were saying or in other words, I was constantly getting lost in my thoughts. Terrible stuff. This happens to me in meetings too and that's one of the worst places you'd want to have that happen to you. If I find a conversation boring, I just tune myself out and then I force myself to get back and then I tune out again. It's a constant struggle. Pathetic stuff. lol

Most people have zero or little tolerance for others' opinions because God forbid if anyone disagrees with them and that's the main conflict online. Neither realizes that it's just a matter of opinion and not a direct quote from the Bible.

For example, any opinion I had given on MW, I was at least 90% of the time very respectful in giving it, but those who had zero tolerance for others' opinions found it rather difficult and as a result, they put their dark self on the table out in the open. At some point I realized that these very people weren't at all open and quite rigid in their approach and nasty at times even. And it wasn't going to change so I did the next best thing I knew and left the forum.

If we do get bigger then that sort of thing is bound to happen here too but then again, you can't stop this forum from growing either. Certain things just are too competitive and sports is one of them and posters have their favourites and that makes things even worse. That's why I highly doubt that I will be able to sustain on forums for too long. It feels like a waste of time no matter how I look at it.
