i think a few people we do have are the best of the best. they are at the head of the class.

it does not really get any better than that.

what we don't have is 300 members so there can be a little more activity here. that will come in time.

we have covered the toughest miles and endured the hardest part of the journey: at last we have something here that at least looks like a place that folks can have some fun with.

Camelot is slowly taking shape right before our eyes.

there is something for anybody. they call can just do their thing and just be themselves. they can have their own boards and they can pursue anything.

there are no rules here and no guidelines.

our mission statement speaks louder than we can or any rules or guidelines we can come up with.

another night of blistering cold here. we have a low of around 23 degrees F.

you, on the other hand, are experiencing far more brutal cold weather.

-23 is just insane.  i grew up in new Orleans.

all i have ever known is heat and humidity.

I think those we used to know well---people like javi, freaky, slasher, sid, and the like---probably are just ate up with some blind hate and envy.

we are successful in just about everything that we do and they--on the average-- are not. I know that nadal thing gets in their way if they are die hard roger Federer fans.

notice that Baron is not affected by it. he remains a friend to Camelot and me always. his kindness is noted and appreciated.

I know general masterclass is fully behind this endeavor at Camelot. he was the only one who took on all of MTF for me.

most reasonable people don't really let player loyalties get in the way of their friendships with others.

sid just has issues and I don't really give a damn anymore. my kindness has its limits. it does run out at some point.

he can go back to tennis4you and proceed to get **** on by babs, alex, and the others there as he has been for years there.

there is really  only one way to learn about people on the internet or anywhere else for that matter. time shows the way to them all.

over TIME you can get an idea of their colors.

I am proud of the fact that I never changed for the most part. I was a little more combative at mtf when people went after me for no reason at all other than the fact that I was a high profile nadal fan.

on the average, I have forever been kind to all those I have ever come across. so I did my duty to myself.

I don't know about Javi to be quite honest as I haven't read anything from him, anything that is negative anyway, here. People, in general, are far more driven by their negative character traits than positive for the most part of their lives and you see those examples not only online but also in real life. What's more interesting is that, people are often offended by others' comments even when they come in form of opinions (and a fact should not offend you). Surely you are more sure of yourself than others' opinions of you? Why then get offended? Where's your so called intelligence to see this simple truth?

I am waiting for a time when people will realize that no one is being offended -  only that they are choosing to be offended. And that it's all in their head. I can let all the comments by Alex affect me and get heavily offended, but in truth, I am not even least bothered by it. The reason why I'd left T4U is because I need him to come to his senses and I can only achieve that by going away from that forum, because I am available then he won't see what he needs to see. Same with some posters at MW. They need to grow up and see how what they are all about and in time, they will even it takes them another 50 years or 50 lifetime. I am not least offended by some of their comments. If anything, I feel a lot sorry for them that they are still at such primitive stage and wonder how long it will take them realize etc. I literally practice Jesus' quote, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do".

Anyway, people who seek truth will eventually rise on top. In the meantime, we have this forum to take care of. If they don't care, we have no reason to care either.

So we didn't get the environment to work on today. The vendor is still tweaking and adjusting stuff; this means things will now get pushed to the weekend as well. That's our backup plan. There goes my Saturday!

I wish though herc you had kept the admin stuff only to yourself and had only a couple of mods. This is still such a small forum and when we'd first started this, it was even smaller. So I am not sure why you felt that generous or ... what. That didn't make much sense either but I do know that had you kept things to the minimum then perhaps we wouldn't have had all these issues with Siddy, Slasher, Freaky etc. to being with. Just saying, yea? Even now we don't need all that many. Perhaps when we get bigger. But then you will always have new people, reliable people, good posters etc. to change things around. And you know you love that. ;D

We do now have a steady set of admins and mods though but our forum cannot be too generic. It should be at least 70% tennis since the title itself implies that.

andy is playing Hewitt in an exo.

Really? Like when? AO is just next week?

I think shortly but I am not sure exactly what time.

i cant quite figure out how to display Australian open twitter feed on the top. that would be too cool.

I've found out and here it is:

From Tonedial: "Hewitt intends to continue his Australian Open preparations on the practice courts, but will still play an exhibition match against Wimbledon champion Andy Murray at Kooyong on Friday."

well I had plenty of reasons and you have already nailed a few of them. I am a generous warrior and I wanted to be kind. that was my of showing my kindness.

I knew these fools would struggle to get mods posts, let alone admin posts.

but I learned later that admin post is quite powerful. one can kill the forum in a mere seconds with admin powers for example.

one can also do a lot of other things. and that was the other reason: I did not know much about the workings of these forums so I thought other admin members could tinker around with the forum and learn and explore things.

it was like pulling teeth to get javi and masterclass  mod posts at tennis4you. and even harder for freaky.

scott is stingy that way. he is the lone admin and he has a few mods. and he has only global mods.

I see the mod position as something different. I see a mod as a facilitator rather than someone who is out to police the place.

anyway we will just leave it all alone for now. everything is working and we are moving in the right direction.

these things take time and we know that.

vast majority of the tennis forums that I have come across are dead or dormant. there are many reasons for that. there are newer technologies out there now for the social avenues.

people have developed strong addictions to facebook and twitter. it is more real time and it is instant gratification. the responses are far more immediate than at a forum.

mtf and tennis warehouse are run by companies and they have been around a long time so they are active.

so we needed a fresh, new approach. we are trying to offer a unique proposition. I think it is going to work in time.

time will take care of it all. we have to be positive and we have to continue being cool, calm, and relaxed like we are.

I get a very calm and a peaceful feeling here. and of course there are zero impediments.

no rules and no guidelines. people can just be themselves here and do anything they please.

I'd really like a condo with a terrace or a townhome with a beautiful deck. See I feel my life will have no meaning if I can't buy and live in my dream house. And I am not asking for much.

in time this will probably become one of the biggest threads on the planet.

i think tennis forums--on the average-- are a dying breed but we will succeed.

you cant stop relentless will. you might be able to slow it down but that only increases one's resolve.

we are taking a different approach here. i have a feeling it will work.

we have 12 guests at the moment.

all that is pretty positive considering how new and how unknown we are.
