nadal farting around with that chicken **** slice of his.

he played a defensive shot when he had dimi down 0-30 and ended up not being able to break him.

it cost him the set.

as it is dimi is winning 100% of the points on his first serve.

nadal donates his service game with 3 double faults.

just brilliant nadal.

he broke serve for 2-0 lead but farted around with his serve. he takes too damn long with his serve and I think it affects his rhythm.

I hope he doesn't keep farting around because dimi is there to take the match.

nadal was leading 4-2 in the 3rd.

now dimi leads 5-4.

I cant say that I have ever seen nadal play this poorly this deep in a slam. this is just a horrible version of nadal.

I don't know what the hell is on his mind. he is sluggish and slow. his preparation is horrendous.

he is double faulting his games away.

nadal wins in 4 but he played horrible tennis.

when was the last time you saw him make nearly 50 unforced errors in 4 sets.

he had just 18 against monfils.

the problem is the return of serve. that is the biggest issue.

today his movement was beyond pathetic. I don't know if he is out of shape or what but he is just standing around and then he has to lunge at the shots.

that is where the mistakes are coming from.

emma what is wrong with Sid. he sent me another pm.

he said he will post at all the forums but not here.

he said I lowered his status here. i don't think i did anything but opened up the gates to Camelot for him.

and what status does he have exactly at tennis4you: babbs has been calling him an idiot for years.

alex **** on him and so did a few others there.

now he is over there and has become their well wisher.

he had his chance here. he is still welcome here but no more admin posts for anybody. they are all taken forever and ever.

no more global mods posts for anybody either. we don't have moderation here to begin with. there are zero rules and zero guidelines. i just thought that global mods give people a little bit of status but it dangerous to give too many people that kind of power.

we don't have enough people here. we only look like fools with 20 admin members and 4-5 people posting.

all we have is 58 members.

i did everything i possibly could for sid and he threw a spear in my back anyway.

in fact i am fresh out of of my unlimited kindness. now people will have to earn it.

Good morning everyone!

Well, Nadal did indeed take it in 4 sets, but it wasn't easy.  I started watching midway through the 3rd set.  Nadal really wasn't playing so well, and Dimitrov got back into the set, and really was unlucky not to win it.  Credit Nadal for hanging in there and taking it, and after that, it was no contest.

Federer has taken the first set vs. Murray 6-3, and it could have been worse.  I expect Murray to play better in the second and Federer's level to dip a bit and make it a close second set.  Let's see what happens.

Well, Murray's play has picked up, but Federer hasn't had a dip yet.  And then Murray made a couple of wayward shots that just missed to get broken, 3-2 Federer.   Those errant shots by Murray are just lack of match play in my opinion.  He would normally make them.  He has to hope Federer's level dips a bit somewhere along the line, and that he can take advantage.  But so far, Federer's serve and aggressive tactics have kept Murray from seeing a break point.
We'll see if that changes.

And the second set goes to Federer, 6-4.  Murray played better, except for the fatal break.  Federer held his serve together, just enough, though his 1st serve pct. dropped.  Murray looked a bit tired in the last game.  Let's see how much he has left in the tank.

nadal said that ferru is one of the nicest persons on the tour.

who really knows what was going on in ferru's head at that time. he had to be frustrated.

I think he will get a hefty fine for it.

I'm sure he was frustrated, but that was shocking to me.

He does seem to be a very nice guy, but did you hear that he recently fired Javier Piles? I think I heard that at TW. I may have to Google it.

If he did, that may explain part of his frustration. He hasn't been playing well since.

I had forgot about until you mentioned frustration.

I'm not sure where my 3rd set review post went, but here it is again, more or less.

Federer had the chance to close the match as he served for it at 5-4 and did not after his 1st serve went AWOL.  Full credit to Murray for taking advantage and becoming more aggressive and breaking Federer.  In the tiebreaker, again Federer had the match on his serve and again his 1st serve went AWOL, and Murray played some incredible shots to take the tiebreaker.  Well done to him.  But it was not without cost as Murray looked pretty tired and rightfully so.  Still Andy took the set and extended the match which is more than what I thought he could do given his lack of match play following his back surgery, so kudos to him!   Federer was obviously frustrated that he couldn't close out the match, and that blip could be costly in a couple of days.

Federer defeats Murray 6-3, 6-4, 6-7(6), 6-3.   Murray looked sapped and perhaps his back or hip was bothering him.  There were a couple of very long service games on Murray's serve that he eventually won, but were costly in terms of energy.  Obviously Federer changed tactics to make it a more physical match and it eventually worked as Murray was broken to give Federer a 5-3 lead and another chance to serve it out.  This time Federer succeeded.   Congrats to him and his fans, and condolences to the Highlander and his followers.  They should be proud of his effort.

Murray should be proud of this effort in a difficult situation for him.
Federer might be frustrated that he could not close it out easier in 3 sets, but is obviously happy to get to the semifinal after last year's off season.  It doesn't get any easier in Federer's next match.  Now he has Sr. Nadal to contend with in two days.  Best of luck to both players in the semifinal!

spot on, as usual.

Andy was sucking air at one point. You could tell he was tired, but he still did very well. I couldn't believe he was hanging so touch because that was so many levels up from his previous opponents.

Federer was on fire. He hasn't played like that for a long time.

I'm worried for Rafa. He cannot continue playing the way he has been.  Hopefully, he can get it together, because right now he's looking like toast.

she has done it.

radwanska removes azarenka from the facilities in 3 sets.

rads opened up her bakery shop for the occasion and dished out a bagel in the deciding frame.

I was very impressed by Radwanska's 3rd set result. Wouldn't have guessed it in million years. Very happy for her. Hope her or Bouchard gets the title.
