Your list lady j is fabulous to, how many we forget about until others bring them up. Then their movies go through you mind. Beautiful they were & some still are growing up watching the movies with my mom made me appreciate them more. My mother one iv her favorites was the king & I with Deborah Kerr. She was able to see the Broadway hit with Yul Bryner. Before he died. She was so excited she was like a giddish young lady.

You all posted some fantastic lists. Such great beauty and talent they all had. You do not find many like them any longer.

Lady Ann, I love all the information you are able to share with us, thank you :)

Lady V, I grew up watching old movies, and reruns of television sitcoms. One of my favorite movies is Carousel with Shirley Jones and Gordon MacRae. I love that movie :)

lady J just gave us an idea:

lets make a list of our own 20 most favorite movies.

not that this is our own "most favorite" movies and not the greatest or the best movies of all time.

and once we do we can compare notes and have some fun with it.

also our 20 most favorite movies of all times may reveal a little something about us.

I will start making my list tomorrow.

in fact I can probably start anyway and then finish my list tomorrow:

my own 20 most favorite movies:

1. 300
2. Benhur
3. gladiator
4. once upon a time in the west
5. the great Gatsby (with redford and I think mia farrow but I don't remember now)
6. somewhere in time
7. wyatt earp
8. Nevada smith
9. outlaw Josie Wales
10. rob roy
11. highlander
