that whole 2013 u.s. open match was special. nole would catch on fire.
it took a lot to break his will and his spirit.
Andy and Wimbledon guys for me. Nothing can top that moment. I almost feel as if I am done after that big win and don't even feel like watching tennis anymore.
Btw, since you know I never got to celebrate the win in the way I wanted to, I've decided to do it on Christmas night. I bought some Champagne and will be celebrating with some close friends and sister at my place. No cooking for me however just ordered in some not so traditional stuff. There will be only 1 kid and that's my 8 year old lover ;P but I've bought his most favourite gift from his wishlist (Lego marvel superheros etc. etc.), which is still a surprise. Once he has that, there will be no trace of him. No seriously, he'll be in the other room doing his thing while the adults will be busy eating and drinking in the dining room. Life can be good, yes.
just 3 days to go now for the abu dhabi event.
I cant wait to see some life top flight tennis.

Yes, but break it he did.
I am still trying to figure out Nole's foibles. When I watch his matches I always get the feeling that something is missing, but I can't tell just what.
Here is a part of my half baked theory.
Novak can get extremely hot and run off a blistering array of winners, but then he can just as quickly dissolve into a one man wrecking machine making dubious decisions and losing heart.
His patterns are starting to look a lot like Federer's. If he can't overwhelm you, he gets frustrated and sulks for a bit before he comes roaring back, but lately, he's been staying in a funk a little too long and you can't do that against Rafa, because he senses that and become even more aggressive.
At least, that's my take.

good to see you around lady TT.
that is a great post. I would have to agree.
nole is an awesome talent and he is nearly impossible to beat on the hard courts. especially in the best of 3 sets formats.
he has been in 12 slam finals already if I am not mistaken and that is impressive.
he can find himself in a zone at times like he did at WTF and also at the china open.

Ah, but the zones are typically in BO3's. In a 5 set match he suffers ups and downs, similar to the way he played Andy at Wimbledon. Many times he starts 5 set matches out slowly, as if he doubts his ability to perform over the long haul.
